Bull i thorn ghost hunt fourth visit, another surpsise

Again another cracking time at the ull i th thorn buxton in derbyshire.
the ouija board went great again in the party room, as well did the table tipping and also the automatic handwriting. At  the pool table room some great taps were heard from the bar. the medieval room was great for the k2s' but the best bit was the kitchen :D
the kitchen has always been the quiet room in the past.,, but not this time. the k2s would dance the lights about and then tapping was heard. upon investigation the kitchens rack up above with the pots and pans on was swinging about. 4 times we asked and with each time it would move again!
We will be here february the 9th and also october the 25th of 2013. so if you want to visit, join http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk

Bull I th Thorn Ghost Hunt 3rd visit october 2012

Bull I' Th' Thorn

The Bull I' Th' Thorn is a coaching inn that dates back to 1472 near Buxton Derbyshire. Prestige Have Been Here before and we found this place to be spooky as anything, so its well worth the visit..

For over 500 years the Bull I’ Th’ Thorn has offered a warm welcome to travellers and locals alike.

During the 18th and 19th Centuries this was a prominent Coaching Inn on the Manchester to Derby route and they still offer a friendly and welcoming ‘old world e’ atmosphere in their Medieval Inn and Restaurant. The Bull 'I' Th' Thorn has had several occasions of paranormal activity. With its dark cellars, and kitchens, back rooms and main medieval bar and with a sumptuous two course meal included, this place is a must see.

Situated alongside the Roman Road which runs from Buxton to Ashbourne is The Bull 'I Th' Thorn. Built over 700 years ago this farmhouse became a hostelry named The Bull in 1472. In 1654 the name of The Bull was changed to Hurdlow House  and was often referred to as Hurdlow Thorn. The name Bull I' Th' Thorn is derived from the combination of these past names.

The age of Bull 'I Th' Thorn is displayed throughout. With original Tudor panelling and stone flagged floor throughout.

With over 400 years as a hostelry which is situated alongside a very popular commuter route. The Bull 'I Th' Thorn has a very long and interesting history, including plague victims, Civil War, and Highwayman.

Upon arriving on our third visit here, the cosy warm atmosphere is inviting, however later on, the atmosphere does change, once all the guests that have frequented the inn that night have left. The meal you do have on the night is superb, and their staff and managers Michael and deputy manager Matt are really welcoming and answer any questions about the Inn. We found out on the third visit here that President Kennedy had once visited the pub and sat by the fireplace to have one drink there on his way on a day visit to Derby.

Previous visits here had Marshall Godwin, a man who murdered a lady called Mary, a servant girl here. He had twice made his presence known by touching the ladies he fancied, when they requested to. It always happened approximately 3 mins after they would ask and would touch their hair, back, and bottom and legs. Angus McPherson a Scottish cavalier type gentleman had made his presence known in the pool table room, and when he arrived, guests in a particular corner felt ill and on the first visit, we had a guest almost collapse on us as he affected her so much. In the party room there is a dance floor, great for table tipping sessions and a little girl had made the table dance around with our hands only gently touching it. On the second visit she moved the table that violently, it broke, and then screams were heard in the ladies toilets around 30 seconds afterwards. Upon investigation there were two lady drinkers who was in cubicle one and three, however the middle cubicle's door was slammed shut and the lights were flickering. The cubicle number two was empty. The kitchens had some great k2 activity prior as well and tapping noises in the medieval room.

The third visit started off the night with another great meal, Gammon and all the trimmings, as well as tomato soup for a starter which was home-made, and so delicious I could have had two of those.

The pool table room again had Angus making people feel not quite right is the best and only way I can describe it. Also Marshall again made his presence known by touching two of the ladies, and again approximately 3 minutes after they asked. The Party room was great because we had the little girl making the table go yet again, she loves to play with them and us. She also moved marbles on the floor and rolling them around. The medieval room proved interesting by a girl called Francine, she made the clock tick rather strangely. Instead of your usual tick tock, tick tock, upon request she would make the clock go tick tick tick tock, tick tick tick tock. 3 very quick ticks, followed by one long tock. She also made the k2 meters flash by the clock, to red, showing some strong electromagnetic field when we asked her to move the pendulum. Angus too made the k2 meters flash to red in the car park outside. We had a full on conversation with him, move towards the k2's for a yes answer, step away for a no answer. The Main bar is very good for ouija boards, and Marshall came through on the board explaining he got away with the murder of Mary, and that he did not mean for it to go that far. It was a sex game gone wrong in his eyes. In Mary's eyes however it was a rape followed by strangulation, that our medium had sensed on the night. She also sensed that Mary had two jobs, working at the inn, and also working as some sort of unpaid community nurse, making sure that people were healthy. In the Main bar also, we had some great light anomalies seen with the naked eye.

The Bull I' Th' Thorn, has to be for us, one of best inn/pub locations you can go for a ghost hunt. We have done many a pub and inn over the years in the midland area and around, and a lot are all left in disappointment and were basically stories made up over a beer or 12 over the years. This one and the Lion and Swan in Congleton Cheshire are our top places to visit for activity that is very recent.

We are at the Bull I' Th' Thorn during 2013. First of all we are here in February 9th 2013, so if you want an early valentines gift and your into ghost hunting, what better way than having a ghost hunt with a sumptuous meal. Another visit is at Friday 25th of October, on Halloween weekend 2013.

A great ghost hunt at bolling hall

We had a great time at bolling hall. The cellar proved interesting on the ouija board, seemed like one spirit had a thing for someones finger and it was pulsating. In the civil war room there was great table tipping and the huge table went aroud and around the k2's were confirming when people were being touched. Then there were footsteps. In the solar room and the red room the k2's were going and the nursery everyone laughed when the k2's went off everytime someone said the word' bum'. The taps and bangs were occuring again in thecivil war room, the kitchen and the red room.
Was a great night all in all and we are going back there again on november 2nd 2013

Sams Prediction on this weekends bolling hall event

Sams our resident medium is going to start on some predictions on the locations that weve visited before and try and predict where is going to be the most active on the night. And yes although its been active in certain areas before, it can change from visit to visit. take the ancient ram inn for example. first visit to the witches room, not a thing, the second visit we had poltergiest activity and a light bulb was thrown, so yes it does vary to right place right time.,..
anyhows, here what sam has to say on the 8th of december 2012 visit to Bolling Hall:
I reacon the main hall the base room will be the place that has the least activity, it seems to be the other rooms im sensing which will be the most active. I do think that people are going to feel watched in the cellar, although the last two visits we had nothing, but this time i feel like that there will be shadows thats for sure. The Red Room wont be as active as last time, but the ghost room will be this time with taps and creaks on command to yes and no answers.
The Civil war room will be active again, but more sinister than before and the smells will be back. The nursery and the servants quarters are going to be great for the k2's and being watched again will be in the kitchen. Outside, people are going to sense someone on the driveway as well especially a lady thats got longish dark hair whos going to be quite mediumstic.

Theres tickets left for this weekend, so if you want to come, visit http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk for more info

Bolling Hall Bradford Ghost Hunt saturday 8th december 2012

Prestige are off to bolling hall bradford for thier third visit. if you want to join us, then visit the website www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk and you could be on our next blog!
Its got great charecter and mr tempest can be a real bitch at times, by pushing people, and prodding and banging so hard on the tables to make you jump. trust me, he dont like visitors!

Landguard fort ghost hunt suffolk 1st visit amazing!

Landguard fort in suffolk is big, very big. so big in fact you would have to do at least 4 ghost hunts here to cover all the areas properly. We had a blackboard in one of the rooms thats split into two and they are on a hinge which opens out. well one of the doors did open, when we knew that the catch was definatly on there beforehand, plus the fact the catch is 7ft high as well so not very easy to get to. very strange.
On the second vigil the wind died down and we got good responses from 'make the door squeak one for yes and twice for no' by a home guard who confirmed he was from the world war.
Where everyone was having a ciggerette break, there was shadows darting across and sam sensed its one of the two soldiers from the 1700's in the seven years war who didnt want us around and the shadow in question was by a man called maurice. We was in contact on the k2 meters by a dutchman, who also came to the ouija board and only named as mr 'b' he confirmed 4 other spirits in the room, and that he died from an illness which sam picked up as brucella - a disease that is contracted from unpasturized foods. The spirit of a little boy that sam got Frederick, he made the k2's go off when people sang wind the bobbin up. Then there was Doris, a lady who had also been incontact with the k2's was 14 years of age and married. but would not say anymore and would not answer personal questions. The shadow meter picked up the dutchman near matt, one of our guests. Then Pete saw a full apparition of a man in a black trenchcoat and army boots which was on the upper floors in the inner circle of the building. In the cells, we had a man called cecil who was in the army but died in 1835. and he said he his job was hq.
The boiler room, that was brilliant. doors slamming on command and whistles being heard when we whistled first. lol  A fantastic location, very very easy to get to. and loved every min of it.We will be booking again for 2013 very soon so keep your eyes peeled on our website http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk

Drakelow Tunnels Ghost Hunt was a good un

Prestige and guests went to drakelow tunnels, its dark depressing atmosphere has not changed from the last time we been here. when we arrived the candles had not been set up so it was pitch black as always. the candles are always in the base room and toilets, but everywhere else, 3 miles of tunnels and interconnecting rooms is completly dark.
We picked up on various spirits, including ladies this time who seemed to be flirtatious in thier day.
The canteen taps were heard and our new glow in the dark dowsing rods seemed to have an effect of recent ghost hunts with the spirits liking to move them about when they were not in use.
Tunnel 1 was a mixed bag of fun on the first vigil, but on the second and third it seemed like you was not alone and the atmosphere changed to foreboding.
In the telephone area, the table tipping went fantastic. The raf area taps and shadows occured as well as great light anomalies. we are here next saturday 23rd of february, so if you want to join us, visit http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk for more info
