It was a clear starry night and 70 year anniversary for VE day. The Fort had many visitors that day and a fly past, so this encouraged lots of visitation spirits.
On the walk around at the school, Rachel had some cold spots on her hands, and also other areas of the school. The temperature gun took an outside temperature considerably warmer than inside the school room, thus wanting to start proceedings in there first. A speech by Winston Churchill was played to entice the visitation World Wat Two soldiers to come and talk with us.
The first vigil was Table tipping in the school room, Rachel picked up on a Sergeant Edward Macarthur and knocking noises were heard underneath the table during table tipping session. The table did vibrate on this vigil also. He did not die during the war ages mid 80's early 90's. Visitation by him was because of VE day, and all of his mates were there. Andy's knuckles started to hurt and It was suggested it was a sign from spirit that he suffered from arthritis. Rachel came into the room, and said that there was a spirit that suffered from arthritis. The table tipping session confirmed there was more than 3 cells, something Sam one of our mediums (who wasn't present that night) has always felt.
During the break Andy and one of the guests (Adrian) the lights went on opposite them on the Downstairs and above the stair case(where presentation boards and glass case with soldiers in). All other guests and staff was accounted for. Andy and Adrian went to turn off the light and noticed it is via a key system which had to had the key to go inside the lock manually to flick the lights on and off. Andy turned them off and said ''thank you for that, later on could you please turn them on elsewhere?'' Later on they did by turning themselves on the stairwell opposite the base room.
The Second vigil was in the prison cells There was a warrant officer on the glass and he fetch and carried prisoners from harwich fort, landguard fort, fort armhurst and also fort horsted and delivered them to Colchester Prison during the second world war and he knew of the Sergeant from earlier.
The third vigil was in the moat and boat house. During the break, Rachel and Gary saw a misty figure in the moat. The spirit of Emma, who is buried in the moat made herself known on the k2 meters, but did not want to talk much because of all the World war spirits because of VE day being there. In the boat house there was a k2 in the centre of the rowing boat and k2s around the edge. The k2s went off in turn, and when asked to stand in the middle of the boat, that sold k2 meter went off. The motion sensors also went off. The culprit was a captain and this was one of his fishing boats that used to fish Whelks and via the k2 meters for yes/no answer's by them flashing for yes, no flashing for no; we found that he would weigh his catch with rocks so he would get paid more for his produce. When Andy asked about what type of rocks and could that he show us, a couple of rocks got thrown. Temperature readings were taken and one was extremely hot and the other icy cold. The captain also explained on the k2 meters he would get drunk, fall asleep in his boat and would lie to his wife and say he was caught out at sea and could not get back to shore.
Another good night at harwich and cannot wait to go again.
