Coalhouse fort ghost hunt Saturday 22nd of june 2013

Coalhouse Fort Prestige Paranormal's first visit to this amazing haunted location.

Date: Saturday June 22nd 2013

Night: Slight wind, Full moon and cloudy, reasonably warm evening.

Team Members Sam the medium and Gemma.

We found Coalhouse Fort very easy to get to. Despite us being in Nottingham, all it took was a trip on the m1, m25, a13, then a short road down ad we were there.

Upon arrival, Gemma exclaimed, 'wow this is a big venue' and Sam replied 'Yes, sure is'.

We was greeted by the friendly staff that was there and Jamie who worked at Coalhouse Fort, kindly showed us around on our first visit.

After this, we set up the equipment and food for the guests, and on starting the mediumship tour, we first took a detour to the roof of the building which has stunning views of the full moon, shining on the waters of Tilbury.

Jamie explained that Coalhouse fort was used for part of the movie Batman Returns, and one of the archway rooms on the upper level was used for the prison and the path leading up to the upper level was used as one of the fighting scenes.

Mini vigil with Sam Gemma and Jamie in room 8 before the ghost hunt started. Footsteps were heard, and on the sb-7 spirit box, we heard a 'hi'. Sam also said she sometimes gets songs in her head as messages and had the dance tune from the late 1990's ' there's a bullet in the gun'.

The spirits that Sam had picked up on during mediumship walk around with the guests..

Room in quad above the archway front doors: Captain James Swift

Caponierre: Lady called Bridget, and a shadowy figure like a shapeshifter.

Tunnels in Section between rooms 24 and 18- Two boys about 17 years of age with flat caps on who like to blag their way through life for food and clothing and would tug on your coats.

Room 14: A priest, catholic.

Room 8 and the tunnel outside it: An elemental. Not an Earth elemental like a gnome like figure, but female looking with wispy shimmering trails emanating from the back of her, and very small. Definitely not a girl, it was too skinny looking and too small a head but about 3 ft in height and most certainly was not a fairy either as it had no wings. (Since checking when we got home, with the appearance of the elemental Sam was sensing, we believe for it to be a Water Elemental, an Undine)

The water spirits are called Undines. This name was first used by Swiss meta physician Paracelsus in the early 16th century. They closely resemble humans in appearance and size, except for those inhabiting smaller streams and ponds. They are beautiful, emotional, and graceful Nature Spirits who dress themselves in greenish, sea coloured garb that has both a shimmering consistency and a watery texture.

Walkway leading up to the tea room – 'Sully' a world war two gentleman and his home roots are in Lincolnshire.

Vigil One- The Room in the quad above the archway entrance and caponierre (latrines). We held the mediumship vigil here, and with the dowsing rods and pendulums in the room above the archway, we had a gentleman and a female from world war two. We then had a hand held séance, and we heard banging in the room next door when we asked. We asked it to do two taps and it did, one tap and it did. When we was talking, just general chit chat, the bangs and taps would stop. It could have been the wind that was banging against the window frame next door, but was very co-incidental wind. In the latrines the atmosphere changed during the hand held séance and became very unpleasant. Although it was very dark, there was some little light coming through one of the windows from the moon, and people could see shadows in the centre of the circle and also behind the medium Sam. Sam and the lady to the right of her, Wendy, felt a slight breeze against the back of their hands coming from outside the circle, then against their faces coming from the opposite direction inside the circle. Another lady, Angela, got touched on the top of her head.

Vigil Two – The archway room on the upper floor which used to have prison bars in, and room 18 and 24. We held the victoriana séance here, and in the first room on the upper floor, we had information coming through the automatic handwriting, and came out with a male spirit from 1847 and first three letters was 'Nel' and he was a gentleman who worked on the locks and docks on the waters nearby, before Coalhouse was built. There was a female spirit beginning with 'He' from 1836 and could not get any more from this. We then did table tipping in the same room, and we had the table vibrate, and although it did not tip, we did have a knock in the middle of the table. The 'Nel' character said we should go down to room 18 in the tunnels. We was not planning to do this room, and was going to room 24 next, but thought we should stop enroute and see what happens. Sam sensed in room 18 the two 17 year old vagabond boys. We did the automatic handwriting again, and because there was no table in this room, we used our portable table and Sam crouched down to hold the legs in place, as when the pen would move, it would slightly rock the table. As she did this the planchette which holds the pen started to spin around and around and the guests had to walk around the crouched Sam and the table, much to the amusement to the other guests.

We then eventually went to room 24. As there was no table in here, there were chairs, so thought we would sit for 10 mins and just simply call out. Sam sensed the 'Sully' character from outside, and when she called out his name, there was a scuffling noises emanating from the corner of the room. This corner had a hole which you can bend to get into which leads into a chamber. One of the Coalhouse staff members went to check and there was no-one there. We also heard footsteps outside as well as more scuffling in the chamber next door.

Vigil Three- Equipment vigil. Room 8 and 14. We set up the k2 meters and in room 8 we did not get much, but when placing the k2s in the centre of the room and one by the doorway, one guest, Pauline, said she had seen the k2 meter move by the doorway on its own. Also in room 8 we heard a moan and when the Coalhouse fort staff had checked the fort and its perimeter, there was no-one around. We all stood around the k2 meters and took out the shadow meter, to try and see if the spirit could produce a shadow. Then there was an almighty scream from Helen, another guest, and something had touched her arm. When everyone had sat back down to the edges of the room again, Helen was again touched on the leg. In Room 14 we sat down with the k2 meters, but this room was quiet.

Lone Vigils – Sam had taken Des and Wendy, two of the guests, to the latrines. We was accompanied by one of Coalhouses staff and enroute, we stopped in front of the quad. The staff member, (sorry lovely chap, but could not remember his name) asked Sam what she sensed in the quad area. Sam had the words 'cheap prostitute' come first. Then she said she was not from outside, like a worker from the streets, she worked in the building and was on the top left hand balcony. (As you look at the railings at the top, it bends on the corner and it was on the left hand side of that bend, about 3 ft from the corner) She then had the words 'drugs' and felt like opium or something like that was used. Also the words 'depression' came to mind. She then saw the lady falling backwards over the balcony and with her feet flipping over her head in the fall just the once, she landed face down. It was confirmed there and then by the staff member that a lady, a nurse was married to a soldier, had an affair with another soldier and the married man found out and shot her in the head, causing her to fall backwards over the balcony and land on her front, as Sam had seen.

Could this have been related to the song 'bullet in the gun' that Sam had earlier?

We then went to the latrines and the staff member then told us there is a spirit called Harry who does not like soldiers, or anyone who dresses up as a soldier. Perhaps this could be the spurned husband? Des aka 'braveheart' as we named him afterwards, said his name was 'Private Wood of the queens regiment' and then was followed immediately afterwards with a big tap in the furthest corner of the latrines. We then turned the sb-7 spirit box on and it said the name ' Harry'.

Group vigil at the end- We finally held the last vigil in room 24 and the latrines, but everything had quietened down by then and no more activity was recorded.

On one of the breaks, Jamie at Coalhouse Fort confirmed a documented elemental in 2006, and there was indeed a man called Captain Edgar James Swift in the Essex area of the time of the war.

All in all it was a very good night at Coalhouse Fort. It was very good for personal experiences, and we did get a bit of equipment going off and was impressed with the sb-7 saying the name 'Harry' when there was a spirit called Harry in the same room. We liked the layout of Coalhouse fort too, with upper and lower floors and the quad, making it very easy to separate large groups into 3 smaller groups. The staff are very welcoming and we was very glad to have them accompanying us on the vigils, so when things did kick off, they could go and check to see if it was anything natural and could verify if it was paranormal.

Looking forward to the next time we go, which will be October 19th 2013.

Ancient Ram Inn Ghost Hunt Report June 1st 2013

Ancient Ram Inn Ghost Hunt Report

Saturday 1st of June 2013

Night Clear and Starry

Temp 8 degrees centigrade

Group 3 in the bar

9pm-3.30am

Was greeted by the lovely John again, bought him a glazed donut this time and he settled down with that and nice cup of tea. The guests arrived and we held the welcome meeting in the bar. On the mediumship walkaround Sam kept the barn secret to the spirits that was in there. She had been there enough times to know who was in the barn so the guests could find out themselves later by dowsing and pendulum work. In the witches room, Sam picked up on Mary Gibbons the high priestess and also Charles Lancery the preist who killed his illigitmate daughter Rosie, aged 7. In the Bishops room Sam picked up Skuse the highwayman. In the Bar she got a man called Adam from Exmoor who was trading parts for ships and lodged here during the 1700's and also Tom, the Innkeeper also.

First set of Vigils:

Sam was with group 1 in the barn to start off with. Dowsing rods determined the Charles Lancery in the room as well as Johnathan the blacksmith. On the hand held séance we had some taps, some louder than others and people felt energy around them. They later moved onto the witches room and Sam picked up on a David, who was impaled in the left shoulder by a metal spike object. He was working with cattle (cows only) and someone came in to rob something, and he died of his injury.

It was very quiet during this vigil, apart from the tap or two in the barn.

Gary with Group two in the bar and barn later on. Unfortunately the ouija did not go successful as we would like. We think the big ouija board has too much friction and the surface isnt right so it doesnt slide across very well. It did move bit by bit but not enough to get a message.

Pete with Group three in the attic and bishops room. There was some k2 action, but it proved to be random, not enough to start off a yes no conversation and the sb-7 spirit box had the odd blip but not long enough to make out a word.

So the first set of vigils turned out to be very quiet.

Second set of Vigils:

Sam was with group three in the barn and witches room. We did get some good taps and one of the guests was mediumistic and there was a female and through dowsing we discovered her name began with a P and with guess work it went to yes for Polly. Polly is a 17 year old Prostitute and the guest said she felt very sad and died of some sexual disease. Skuse the highwayman was also in the barn and we did yes no answers by touching us which he did. On the entering of the witches room, Sams torch started to flicker. So she set it on the table and sat down. The guest who was a medium picked up on a 9-10 year old girl from victorian period. So we asked her to take the energy from the torch so she did make it flicker a few times. We wanted more, so we asked her to turn it off completely. She did just that. Then we asked her to turn it back on and she did. Sam and a guest saw a shadow whizz past to the left of them as they were sat on the bed. There was also a female whine as well which we think was mary.

Gary was with group One in the bar and barn. The ouija board was moving and on the table tipping session in the barn, that tilted to a gentleman who was skeptical, which is good because that means if it was humans doing it, he's the only one that could have done it as it was tipping towards him and not away, and since he's skeptic he would try to disprove it anyway he can.

Pete with group two in the attic and Bishops room. We had some crazy k2 action going on and was answering to questions also.

Third set of vigils:

Sams was with group 2 and we had some good activity. The dowsing had charles again and there was some good taps. The torch was flickering again but this time in the barn. We asked for it to turn itself off which it did and back on again, which it did. Strange because this didnt happen inbetween during break times and we checked the torch afterwards and it did not do it during lone vigil times either. In the witches room one of the guests had a camcorder. We put sams torch as a trigger object in the middle of the room on the patterned carpet and set it in the middle of one of the diamond patterns. One of the ends moved a bit. There was lots of light anomalies captured in the witches room and when asked it would move to the person we wanted it to. It even danced around the chap that was camcordering.

Garys group 3 got the polly on the ouija board in the bar. And Petes group 1 had a permanent emf spike to orange all the way in the attic, they moved all over and it was always there. Phones were off so we have no idea what caused that. At this point some of group 1 left as they had to get home. Then the activity really kicked in. the sb-7 box said a name of jason.

Lone vigil times:

Sam had gone with some of the guests in the witches room. James from group 2, group 3 (nics group) and hannah and annie from group 1 was with the k2s. They told me about jason and then jason set off the temperature k2 and took it to its highest level. Then dropped it again. He did this several times on command and they also got a cat on evp meowing too.

Sam then went downstairs to help pack up some of the stuff and then heard a shriek in the barn. She raced in and Sharon from group 2 and Karl and Alison's group in group 2 said they saw a shadow in the barn on the right wall (as you look at it with the doorway in front) Then they did the automatic handwriting and it kept spelling out Karls name and a 'B' which they think is their grandfather. We asked on the automatic handwriting and the 'B' said it was not responsible for the shadow. Then there was taps and what sounded like a dragging noise also. It was very spooky.

So all in all, the night was quiet to start off with, then built up during the evening and got very very active at the end of the night.

Ghost Hunt report at Doncaster Air Museum

Doncaster Air Museum Detailed Ghost Hunt Event Report.

Date Saturday 18th of May

Weather Cloudy no rain

8.30pm-3.00am

It was Sam the mediums first time to Doncaster Air Museum, and excited to go. The last place she visited to do with military museums was Raf Holmpton, which unfortunately was quiet and she did not have high expectations of Doncaster, but how wrong was she!. The moment Sam arrived she was bombarded by spirits.

After set up Sam and the guests went on a mediumship walkaround tour and first up was the main hanger. Sam sensed a spirit of a Sargeant and his name was Spencer Otty who had not one plane crash but two. First one being at Ashbourne Derbyshire and she saw train tracks. The second he died in lancaster bomber 6 months later at a place beginning with 'Ep'. She saw a plane befoe arriving to the museum which was grey, had three white numbers, one of them being a 7 and she found the plane she wanted. When she got to the plane there is a spirit she picked up on called Charles Goodwin and although this was not his exact plane, he comes to visit this one on occasions.

The also picked up on a spirit called Seargant Beaumont, Austrailian and he was killed in a Wellington. In Hanger 21 She picked up on a little girl called Tina, looking for in the blitz rubble a little toy monkey and also a female wren called Wendy. In Hanger 19 there was two spirits. George who was not very pleasant and also a man smoking a cigarette called John Russo who was Canadian and died in a Canadian Spitfire.

Delegations: Sam Mediumship vigil in hangar 19

Andy Equipment Vigil in Main Hangar

Pete Victoriana Vigil in Hangar 21

Vigil one. Sam had the first group in hangar 19. Group one consisted of the sensitive guests and in the exhibition room we was getting hot and cold spots and being touched. One of the guests picked up on George and his last name was Pearce and worked in communications. Sam sensed Russo in the room and he had taken a shine to Sam and he was pretty close to her. There was a few taps in the next room where the planes were and they proceeded to hold the next part of the vigil in there. Sam was being touched by Russo on the face and one of the other mediums (guest) went into trance and George spoke through her. Pete's group in the victoriana did not have much luck on the ouija board, but did have a lot of luck on the glass. They accertained the spirit was religeous and did not want to speak on the ouija and was against it. Andys group had some great k2 action in the main hangar by a female spirit called Elizabeth who was looking for her sweetheart and she died in 2009.

Vigil Two Sam in the hangar had seargeant Beaumont, the Austrailian who had followed one of the guests from the main hangar and he did something very special. Under questioning a wooden stand with information about a control panel rattled, so we put it in the centre of the circle so that every guest knew no-one was touching it and he rattled it again. She also sensed Wendy was pregnant. In Andys vigil one of the mediums (guest) brought up the name Peterson and he was attached with the UN helicopter and said on the k2s he was in the Falklands war and served with Andys dad also named the distinguished medal he had. He also claimed he was the one responsible for showing up on the camcorder at the ghost hunt in November The gentleman associated with the grey plane which had 791 on, he also came through the k2's. In the victoriana vigil, on the ouija personal messages were coming through.

Vigil three Sam's group heard a couple of taps in the plane room in hangar 19. In the victoriana vigil Pete had a spirit on the ouija board from the air museum. In the equipment vigil they got the man on the 791 plane, he admitted on the k2 he flew it in anger but would not say where, but confirmed it was between 1951-and 1954 and it was Korean war, and tying up what Sam said, it was Charles Goodwin. There was that many spirits on this vigil that Andy got confused who was talking too as there was that many. There was also an Australian on the k2s that came through with a first name of Ralph.

In the Lone vigils Sam went around and came to a group on the ouija and they had someone called William. He died aged 90 and worked at the airport until 1984. In the mass group vigil at the end Elizabeth looking for the sweetheart came on the k2's but still couldnt find her sweetheart and the guests who had her had the name of Robert. Peterson would only speak to the men, and was creating bangs and taps on the other side of the hangar. He eventually set off the k2's at the end as a goodbye.

Checks of information from what was get on the ghost hunt:

http://www.archieraf.co.uk/scs/1646dickson.html Seargent Beaumont: he did indeed die in a Wellington and was Austrailian too. The Ralph on the k2's could be RAAF, the airforce he was with.

http://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co.uk/pages/peakdistrict/peakdistricteb338.htm we found that Seargeant spencer Otty was also correct, he did crash at ashbourne and near train tracks like sam said on the mediumship walkaround and it was also the left side (port side) and he did die 6 months later in a lancaster, but the name of the place he died was wrong. It was not Ep, but El for Elsham Wolds.

On Charles Goodwin we had nothing that came up right away, but on the military records there are two c.l and a c.j. Goodwin, both enlisted in 1951, one was in the Queens own and the other in the Royal educational corps, however we did find a recent obituary of a Charles Goodwin who served in korea and was a keen pilot, but was uncertain if he used his piloting skills in the korean war, and he passed away on april 21st 2013 in las vegas (born kansas) and his memorial was the day before the investigation on may 17th 2013.

On George Pearce, is still uncertain, as well as John Russo the Canadian spitfire pilot and peterson, the quest is still ongoing.

haunted weekend borders tour may 3rd and may 4th 2013 northumberland and scotland

Haunted Weekend Borders Tour Friday 3rd of May and Saturday 4th of May 2013

Location Kielder Castle Northumberland and Jedburgh Jail Scotland.

It was a long drive to Kielder Castle Northumberland, about 3 and a half hours, but boy is it worth it. Its fantastic scenery with the scotch fir trees everywhere and the wildlife is just worth the visit alone, and that’s not even counting the lake and the castle itself. Stopped at Scotch Corner on the A1 for our needed boost of energy – the good old burger king and stocked up on m and s sandwiches for later.

We arrived at the castle at 5pm and we met up with Malte who runs the castle and he is pleasure to meet. He’s very passionate about the wildlife and the fact it is a dark sky zone which means, no street lights so you can stargaze to your hearts content.

We set up the equipment and the food and drinks and had a well earned coffee and our sandwiches. The ghost hunt did not start till 8pm and because Gary our team member had not been before, we showed him around the place.

The guests finally arrived and we held the welcome meeting and got to know a bit more about the guests on the evening. Some were from Manchester, and Cheshire and also up as far as Glasgow.

We split the guests into 3 groups and we designated the rooms for the following vigils:

Sam’s Mediumship vigil – Marie’s Room, Charlotte’s Hobby Room, Television Room

Andy Victoriana Vigil – Auditorium and Attic 2

Petes Equipment Vigil – Attic 1 and Emmas Room.

First was the mediumship walk around with our medium Sam. In Emma's room Sam could smell roses, and told the guests about the Romeo and Juliet book she used to like. The book is on the side of the mantelpiece and although its not a very old book, it has been left for her. One of the guests picked it up and placed it in the middle of the mantelpiece. In the far back room of the attic, Sam sensed Emma and also the Blacksmith, to which the guest decided to call him George. They also felt a cold spot where Sam said he was stood in a particular part of the room. On the way back down, one of the guests collared Sam and told her that they placed the Romeo and Juliet book in the middle and on the way down they checked and it had been placed at the end of the mantelpiece and that it had moved. In charlottes hobby room, Sam got a sense that Charlotte like to do embroidery here and grow plants. She also sensed a man in a waistcoat, a worker there called Michael, and he was a strong character. She sensed him even stronger in the TV room. In Marie’s room, Sam sensed Marie and told the guests what she did prior which was to stoke up the fire. In Attic 2 Sam picked up on the boy Tom and also the grounds keeper that used to abuse boys and when 2 of them grew up, they murdered him in revenge in the courtyard, and he died eventually in Attic 2, where his room was.

Equipment Vigil. Unfortunately we did not get any k2 spikes in any of the vigils, although people did sensed they were being watched.

Victoriana vigil – One of the groups did a table tipping session which culminated into one of the tables legs coming off and flying across the room making everyone scream in that group. Another group witnessed a chairs spindles coming off the back of the chair. The grounds keeper called James came through the board and he said they hung him in the end in the attic 2 and anyone who was stood at the stairs wanted to moved and they felt like they was being watched. Table tipping sessions, all three went very well. The little boy Tom was playing with the automatic handwriting planchette and he took a girls earring out and bent it in the Auditorium.

Mediumship Vigil – The dowsing we had Michael and he said he was in cahoots with the grounds keeper. The psychometry we had on two separate groups 1 and 3 ( we asked them to to talk what they picked up on to each during break times so they wouldn't influence) and they got Clara. Group one got James and he wore a white wig and black bow at the back. Two guest who were a couple also got a lady called Joan. Sam got Michael and said he was about 6 foot with a receding hair line, with hardly any hair. In Marie's room Hugh Percy came through and he was messing about as usual. He is the 3rd Duke of Northumberland and he was touching the guests, prodded Sam in the back, tickling. Michael was also tapping to questions in Marie's room and also the TV room. But Marie's room we had disembodied breathing which scared the life out of group 2 from Glasgow.

On group vigil at the end we heard footsteps and bangs were captured on evp machine when everyone was accounted for downstairs. The evp machine was in Marie's room all night.

Some of the guests left after the ghost hunt, very happy, but wanted to get back to either commitments, or just didn't fancy sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor.

We had 12 guests that decided to sleep over. The Glasgow girls slept with Sam in Marie's Room. The rest decided to stay in base room.

7am arrived and the guests were greeted with coffee, tea, croissants with Jam and pan au chocolate.

Everyone had a great time and we left very pleased that the night went very well and organised.

At 9pm, we left Kielder Castle to head towards Jedburgh town centre. The drive is approx 30 miles, but takes about an hour, as it is a single track road with passing points. It was a gorgeous morning and the sun was shining and with it being May we couldn't help stopping a few times to look at the free roaming sheep and lambs as its lambing season. We arrived at the picturesque Jedburgh and it has a huge derelict abbey which was attacked several times. There is also Mary queen of Scots house which is well worth the visit.

We hung around the centre of the town for a while and stocked up on food for the Jedburgh Jail ghost hunt that night, and got some great fish and chips and word had already got around there was 'ghost hunters' in town, even at the local co-op.

Check in time at the hotel was at 1pm, (we got in early, nice one and thanks to the manager). The hotel used to be Robert Burns the poets house and Sam and Andy had room 6, and Pete and Gary had room 4 and room 5 we was told by the manager was meant to be haunted and he saw an actual ghost there. Tired and weary we fell asleep till tea time, and grabbed a pizza just before the event started.

We was let in at 9pm on the dot and set up the equipment and the guests had the welcome meeting, whilst Sam went on a walk around with the curator to pick up on spirits. The jail comprises of a middle wing, a west wing (Bridewell) and East wing. The west wing housed people that owed money and the more hardcore criminals were in the East and Male prison in the North (the north is under repair).

Sam's vigil took place in the main wing on the top floor. The main wing as glass cabinets and artefacts in there and is not in total darkness, but there is one smaller room up there which is in semi darkness. Sam picked up on the Jailer with a 'Jo' name and we later learned this was Joshua. With the dowsing rods, one of the guests got a gentleman from the 1300's called William and the moment that Sam said his name, one of the guests got touched on the thigh. We had a hand held calling out seance and some of the guests arms went up in the air, caused by William. Sam's vigil later went on to the cells in the Bridewell on the top floor. In one of the cells one of the guests picked up on a spirit called Jack and Sam sensed he was around 5 foot, elfin style face, and was a character and was done for pickpocketing. The guests all saw red and white lights above Sam's head, about 1 foot above. Sam and another guest called Sam was touched on the thigh and ear. There was a child called Jess which was also picked up on by a guest.

During the Victoriana vigil, this was held in the room next to the base room, and also a small room which is next door and this was the Jailers room. In the Jailers room we did the Ouija session and we had Jake(was Jack) on the board and also the Jailer called Joshua. Jake and Joshua never met and when Jake died, Joshua came to work there 4 years afterwards in the 1800's and stayed for 7 years before being murdered by inmates. In the room next to the base room, to which I can only describe it as a 'stocks' room because of the stocks, and the mannequin. We had the spirit of Georgina who lost her children and was looking for them. Sam sensed the children was in spirit world already and it was just a case of her having a leap of faith and joining them.

In the Equipment Vigil we was on the top floor of the East wing and in one room we had excellent k2s by a man called Samuel who was African origin. We then split the group, boys and girls and the ladies went into one of the cells at the bottom end of the corridor. No k2 spikes for the ladies, but the men who stayed in the first cell, had k2s going off again and the spirit wanted the ladies in there. So we did a switch. The ladies went in, and also we had some k2 spikes, for a yes answer he was supposed to spike the k2s and on listing the crimes so he could confirm which one he did, he would not answer, so Sam picked up the k2s and said they are leaving, when one of the guests let out a scream and so did her mum next to her. The guest Vikki said 'I've just had whisper in my ear, Don't go -stay'' and her mum, who was wearing the super hearing enhancers at the time said ' I just heard it plain as day on these things too'.

During a group vigil in the Bridewell West wing, Jess was making the k2 spikes, would run off and hide, make a noise in the cell she was in and the guests would have to find where she was. It proved a very good game.

Finally in the stocks room, Sam and the guests helped Georgina into the light, and afterwards the feelings in there was less oppressive.

We retired back to our hotel at 3.30am and finally left after a good hearty Scottish breakfast at 10.30am.

Prestige's opinion on Kielder Castle and Jedburgh Jail.

Both very different in their own rights. Kielder was well worth the visit because of the scenery and the fact you can sleep in location with your sleeping bag. Its got many rooms to explore and our vigils didn't even cover the two base rooms, and the study and the puzzle room and the nature room.

We do love Hugh Percys personality and came across him twice now and he has made audible's before and his character and jokey nature, just him alone is worth going to see, let alone the other spirits there.

Jedburgh Jail, there’s about 20 cell rooms to visit, so very easy to do lone vigils in. The building when the lights go out it is frightening and sets the scene of death, violence and incarceration very well. Was very impressed with the personal experiences here and the k2s as well as the super hearing enhancers. Would love to revisit here just to add more to the story of the Jailer Joshua and prisoner Jake, plus also work more on the equipment and get some good trigger objects going in some of the cells.

Newcastle Keep and blackgate barbican double ghost hunt

On march 30th 2013 we went to Newcastle for not one location, but two. Newcastle Keep and the Blackgate Barbican are right next door to each other. Situated on St Nicholas Street, these two imposing buildings are great to visit in the day time alone.
We started out at the Black Gate Barbican first, setting up the equipment and Paul, the curator of the castle keep show ourselves the around so we would get aquainted with the area. The Barbican is shut for 9 months and open in early 2014, and is currently being restored to an education centre and vistors centre. We was very lucky. We was only the 7th investigation here ever done and was the last ones for this year. The barbican is now a hollow shell, furniture removed, creating this derelict atmosphere to it and rather sad looking. The first floor of the barbican is the oldest part, dating back to the 1200's and has two fireplaces, one being original back to when it was first built, and the other from the 1700's when the additional upper floors was built. This room is all made out of stone and all that is in there are steps leading to a platform, and a large 6ft wooden table.
The second floor is where we pitched out base room. It has a room inside it, which was probably used as an old wash room, when it used to be accomodation for slum dwellings in the 17 and 1800's. This room seemed particulary creepy. The third floor, the Society of Antiquities room had empty shelves and bookcases, it used to house lots of books on the history of Newcastle and they took over the barbican in the late 1800's. This room and the room inside it was very unpleasant. Before the guests arrived, we got in contact with the k2 meters with a girl (which Sam sensed was a 6 year old called Susan), and also an imposing man with a black long coat with tails, going back to 1841 named James.
The final floor has 4 rooms up top, one being an old bathroom and Sam had sensed a elderly lady called Rowena, plus the James being involved with murder, when his stocks and shares crashed and he wanted someone to blame.
The guests arrived and settled down for pre-investigation drinks and we split them into two groups. Group 1 came with Sam in the society of antiquites room on the 3rd floor dowing dowsing and hand held seances, and group 2 had gone with Andy and Pete to the third floor to do ouija board and table tipping. Group two got good table tipping from a 5 year old boy, and group 1 had a guest get touched on the arm  by Susan.
Then we switched. Group 1 went to do the equipment vigil with Andy on the first floor, and Group 2 came with Sam in the Societies room. Sams group had strange experiences with guests hands  floating up during the hand held seance, and they described it as a 'force' pushing their hands upwards, and no possible way they could push them back down again. On the equipment vigil, they had the spirit box working and a man called Mike came through, said his name twice, said there was 5 spirits. so the k2 wre spread across the room and asked mike to ask the othr 4 spirits and himself to stand where the k2's were and all five lit up to red. The last seance group 1 was with the ouija on the top floor and group 2 was doing the equipment on the first floor. On the ouija we had a man called George who said he died aged 35, worked as a castle 'gard' way he spelt it, and was married and was around in Charles II reign. He the proceeded to table tip the table, only slightly rocking it, but still was pretty good. The equipment vigil resulted in the big  table in the centre moving on its own. No-one was even near it and astounded the guests.
The guests had a break, whilst we took everything over the the castle keep. Then we was ready for round two. Paul kindly did a history tour for the guests, showing them and us around the place, as it was our first time here. We had two vigils in the keep, one being the gallery and great hall and kings chamber on the second floor, and the other vigil was on the ground floor in the garrisons room. The gallery proved quite intresting when we got on evp some female saying 'come on' plus tapping heard by the stairs. Automatic handwriting experiment went really well too. In the garrison room, the k2's went off, plus a scratching sound was heard and a whoosh, then a clinking to the  ground. One the guests was taken by surprise as it hit him on the way down. We discovered it was a screw and one screw was missing from the glass display cabinet. We heard huge bangs on the door nearby, dragging sounds coing from the floor above and footsteps coming down the stairs when no-one was there. There was many rooms to explore at the castle keep, but because these rooms we was in was active, we wanted to stay, rather than ship everyone off to another room and miss on the activity and making it into a dull ghost hunt.
So thats what we did, and so glad we stayed in those rooms, as it was such an intense experience, the newcastle keep and barbican are certainly places i would definatly go again and again and again.

Craig y nos castle weekend with ancient ram inn

From nottingham it took about 3 hours for the journey to get there to craig y nos in south wales. In penecoe in the breacon beacons, this castle is situated in picturesque settings. We arrived and checked in. We chose the bridal suite because of its hauntings as it used to be chapel, plus if any of the guests wanted to do a vigil in our room, they could do so. Sam did not feel alone in the bathroom and felt as if she was being watched. The 3 course dinner we had with the guests was sublime. After the 3 course dinner we met up with Holly, she was the castles ghost hunt co-ordinator. Ourselves and the guests had a mediumship walkaround tour with Sam our resident medium. She went first off to the salt cellars which she picked up on a gay spirit and also a shapeshifter. Holly smiled. She had seen the shapeshifter for herself a couple of years ago. 7 ft tall it was she told us. We then went to the derelict areas where th upper floors we had to take the guests in 3 groups at a time. the first group we was in one room and George was  picked up by Sam who said he was friendly. He was as a guest felt him sit inbetween her and Sam and he held the guests hand. We then had a mass group vigil in the theatre and we heard taps and bangs unaccounted for.
We then split up into 3 groups
Salt Cellars: On every single group vigil here there was tapping in the pots and pans room. The low ceiling cellar on two of the groups they were being touched - the men that is. Sam had picked up on the name Bertie and he was a man from the hospital days (when it was residential home in the 1950's) and he had a liason with another man elsewhere. He tapped in response to questions. This was confirmed by Holly on the second break and told us his name is Robert. The third group, the moment Sam said Roberts proper name a stone was thrown.
Theatre Cellars: Petes victoriana vigil had good ouija with family members coming through, and is a known portal in the theatre cellars for this to happen. The table tipping also went fantastic. They played Adelina Patti (an opera singer and owner for 50 years) song she used to sing and later on they all heard her singing beautifully on stage for about 5 seconds.
The Derelict Areas: many rooms to explore and two floors. The equipment vigil was held here and there was a little girl who had made her presence known on the k2s. She started to affect one of the groups and making them cry for no reason. In the end it got so bad, a staff member said ' right you must step away now as this is no good for our guests' and immeadiatly afterwards they heard running footsteps and the little girl was heard crying.
After the vigils most guests retired to thier rooms but three guests, Sam the medium and Holly braved it by sleeping in the derelict areas. The beds that were there looked like they had been around in the 1970's and although they were clean-ish, they still smelt of mushrooms lol. During that sleepover they heard men talking in the corridor. they knew it was not staff or guests as there is a keypad to access the derelict floors to get in.
The morning was supplied by a full english breakfast and ceareals and  muffins.
All in all craig y nos was brilliant. its size, the way th vigils are non contaminated as the areas are so far apart, its amazing and will be booking it as a regular.

Ancient Ram Inn
From Craig y Nos we headed east to the ancient ram inn in gloucstershire for our second night of ghost hunting. It was our fourth visit and John was as gracious and helpful and welcoming as ever.
Tierd from the night before, but undettered, we carried on and did the ghost hunt and we had some cracking activity.
The barn provided a loud bang on the table in on vigil when we challenged skuse the highwayman and we asked if the militia caught up with him. Also in the barn we had a misty apparition of Rosie one of the children and it resulted in cheers and claps afterwards.
The Witches room had  the door opening on its own with Charles Lancery, the priest that murdered his daughter Rosie in 1290. That happened several times. Also the k2s went off when Charles wouldnt allow any other spirit to come into the room and Sam had to push him back to make this happen. The k2s all flashed when she did this and then we had a great k2 conversation with Mary Gibbons, the high priestess who on previous visits tends to be a show off and also has made her presence know with her voice, and the k2s and doors slamming in the bar. The Bishops  room was home to many cold spots and we had a fantastic time with the dowsing and getting hold of skuse again.

It was a great night at the Ram. John was flirty as ever, especially  with our staff member Gemma. Much as she tried bless her, she couldnt get away lol.

Guys cliffe house ghost hunt log

August 20th 2011 1. Visit with myself, my sister, and another paranormal group on a private ghost hunt. 2. First vigil was in the chapel. A medium with the other group sensed a spirit they have been in contact with many times before, 'old cloggs' a scribe that documented the goings on at guys cliffe back in the 1400/1500's 3. I sensed a man in my minds eye in front of me who was a monk called Abraham and he did not like the ladies. All i sensed was his face, in front of mine, in the darkness with an angry look. He made taps on command when asked. 4. A man who had passed away two weeks prior was one of the last boys to reside at guys cliffe when they was evacuated in the second world war. He made a whistle which was captured on my evp (dictaphone)machine. 5. Second vigil we was in the Coach House. The other paranormal group had been here many times and greeted 'Jacob' like a long lost friend. Jacob, who is in his 30's had a mindset of a 14 year old, and he loved the ladies. He touched myself and my sister on the head. I took out my hair slide, put it in the centre of the circle where we was all sitting and we all held hands to call out and i said he could keep it if he would show himself. after 5 mins, we could all see a hand in the darkness. although it was dark, you could still see it as it had a slight glow to it, ever so faint but you still make it out and then his master returned (sensed by another medium) and he disappeared, as this master was strict and used to beat him. 6. Third vigil we had was world war two rooms. We was on the ouija board, and got a man called Aleister crowley on the board. He was known as the 'wickedest man in britain ' in his day and used to have a cult. He answered a few questions, like his mother used to want a girl and called him alice when growing up, then he left the board after that. 7.fourth vigil was in the cellar. A friend in the other paranormal group had kept this secret as to who was in there, in the hope i would sense who it was. Everyone in thier group was sniggering and they all said they had run ins with this spirit. I went in with them, and i sensed a man brutally murdering a little boy aged 3-4 years of age in the corner, like a replay of time being played out to me. I also sensed a lady being raped and having this child as a result of this. I got the mans name of 'Johnathan' and knew i wasnt alone and that he was in there with me. I got stroked on the neck and a tug on the hair and a stroke on the leg. I didnt stay in there very long. I was told after this vigil, by the other group that one of them was a attacked and when i got home, he posted me over the pic of him on facebook with a bloodshot eye where he poked him. 8. the fifth vigil we was in one of the upstairs rooms above the chapel. It looked like a normal conference room, however, me and a medium sensed a 12 year olf girl in there who wanted to play. so i gave her some of the marbles i had. asking her if she wanted them, we all heard a little wail in the room like she was trying to speak. March 17th 2012. 1.This was a public event we had with our guests. There was a mixture. a group of ladies, a group of young men around 20 years of age, and a group of serious ghost hunters. 2. Mediumship walkaround, I was going round telling everyone (they was all together the guests at the time) the spirits i was picking up. In the restricted area, i sensed aleister crowley, a man who looked around 40 with a white robe on and knew he was him and not a man of the cloth as he was introducing himself with his name. The restricted area is part of the house we are allowed to go in. the vast majority of it was destroyed by fire when shooting a sherlock holmes programme. The area houses one large room, which then leads into a corridor which splits off into two further rooms. one to the left with a solitary wooden chair in, the one to the right leads down 6 steps into the game larder. I proceeded to tell everyone who i picked up, and after this left the area with the guests followng behind me to the next area. One of the young mens group was guffawing in the fact that spirits dont exist and how he was a complete sceptic and that Aleister if he did exist was a 'wuss'. Aleister must have over heard as the next thing, he pushed the man from the corridor part into the game larder down six steps. None of the other guests were in arms shot of him and he was left completly dumbfounded as to what had gone on. 3. First vigil was with me in the chapel and a bunch of ladies. We had some great taps again from Abraham the monk, however, he tapped that he wanted us to leave, as he felt that ladies should not be in the chapel. At the end of the vigil, we was about to leave, and noticed that he locked us in. It was very frightening to be locked in and took a few attempts to unbolt the door to get us to leave the room. 4. The next vigil was with myself and the group of boys in the coach house. The same chap who was pushed in this group, and he told me at this point, that the earlier vigil with my husband in the restricted area (when i was being locked in the chapel) the k2 meters which detect emf fields that spirits are supposed to give off, went off. Based on questions of yes no answers and to move to the k2 meter for a yes and step away for a no answer, they discovered it was indeed aleister crowley and when they all called their name in turn to see who aleister had a grudge against and when it came to the gentleman who rubbished aleister crowley and spirits and was pushed, they k2 meters all flashed in response. That vigil in the coach house with me and the boys we had taps from knights templars. We know they are knights templars that still reside there as there is an original coiffer in the coach house which was found in one of the caves nearby that they carried. 5. I had a wander around during lone vigil time and went into one of the caves. there are two caves, guys cave, and also what i call the temple cave, as it has pillars inside. I had two sensations whilst i was there. One i sensed that it was an managerie and also sensed a monkey, which was confirmed by Adrian the curator as correct. Samueal Greatheed owed guys cliffe house for a while and he did indeed have an managerie. The second sense that i saw was not as pleasant. I saw a young girl in the centre, with 12 men all in robes and i got the sense of the time of aleister crowley period. she was very scared, and i saw them slit her front of her throat in the shape of a cross, as if they was tryiing to justify what they was doing was ok. I was completly alone at this point and wasnt liking what i was getting, although it was a replay of time i was seeing, i still feel aleister crowley was prompting that scene from the background. 6. I wanted to go into the cellar, after the last experience though i was scared. so stayed by the entrance. I sensed that johnathan the rapist/murderer was a heavy man for samuel greatheed. A debt collector, and also to serve overseas to ensure the sugar plantations were being worked properly. I also got the sense Johnathan was a heavy drinker,(see photo ive attached that i drew.)I heard a scream coming from the restricted area next door. One of the girls from the ladies group ran out screaming. She had seen in the corridor a full on apparition of a french soldier with a peg leg. This is a true fact, there was indeed a french soldier there and he has been sensed many times by mediums. 7. The final group myself and andy was in the room next to the game larder in the restricted area. This group was a mixed group of men and women, and serious ghost hunters. We had the k2 meters in the center of the group. Aleister crowley made himself known again with the walk towards the k2 for a yes move away for a no and he had respect for us and the group. We had some really good questions he was happy to answer. The fact he had a cult, he had members that carried out duties for him, he wasnt treated right as a child, and that he was misunderstood. 8.We continued the vigil in the game larder. i sensed the french soldier and Aleister crowley. The k2s flashed in response to the fact he wanted one of the men to sit on the stairs which he did, then we all heard, 'step, clunk, step, clunk'. the pegged leg soldier we all gasped. Even Adrian the curator was impressed as he was with us. We got a peice of equipment we call the shadow meter which measures light intensity in lux and can detect shadows in a dark room. We picked up a shadow on the stairs.I sensed it was aleister. asked him to stay where he was and we got that he was about 5ft 6 or so. We asked him to leave the stairs, the reading on the shadow meter went back to zero. we asked him to come back on the stairs again, and the shadow meter registered with the same intensity. We asked him to move to one corner of the room, the reading went to zero on the stairs, and upon reaching one of the corners, he was picked up again, emitting the same intensity. When we got back, one of the guests posted us an evp recording he got on his phone. It was in the caves, everyone was talking and you hear a scream of ' get out!' but yet no-one had heard it and the talking just simply carried on as if nothing had happened. All in all it a was a great and yet frightening night.

Stanley Palace Ghost Hunt Blog

Stanley Palace has been visited twice by Prestige Paranormal. Here is an account of those two events which took place in May of 2012 and also October Halloween Weekend 2012.

May 2012, We all got there at around 6.30pm and it was still light. We met Dennis the curator of the building and he proceeded to show us around. Dennis and Sam was upstairs in the long room, discussing the keys and which ones were used to lock up, access to the cellars etc when they both saw a full apparition of a man walking from the right to left and through the wall which leads into the courtyard centre.
When the guests arrived we all settled down for the welcome meeting and briefing. Sam sensed a few spirits on the mediumship walkaround. One was a lady in green in the Queen Anne Room. Again in the same room she sensed a Monk as well. In the upstairs room she sensed an accountant called Henry.
The vigils began and the Queen Anne Room we had great taps and also k2 readings. We had a k2 conversation with the monk and the light intensity meter detected the shadow.
With the upstairs room the bangs and taps and the k2s going off in response to Henry the accountant was brilliant. In the courtyard, which by the way is surrounded by the building and next door wall and no way accessible from the public and the main road, provides us seclusion to do a vigil. Calling out provided a stone from nowhere just dropping onto the floor. A shadow was seen in the alleyway in the courtyard also. It was a great night and everyone enjoyed themselves.

October 2012 Halloween weekend. We started later this event and at set up alone we was getting huge bangs and chairs being dragged upstairs. Sam and Pete were in the courtyard and Sam felt her lips being kissed and go all tingly and Pete had his foot stamped on by a spirit called Richmond in his 40s' and he was neither a royalist or paliamentarian. In the Queen Anne room we dowsed and got the old man that is supposed to haunted building called George and he showed himself as an apparition in the window to us and the 9 guests that was with us! The window other side leads to the courtyard which is completly sealed off from the public and baffled us when he would only respond to one male guest when he asked him to go brighter - which he did and duller, which he did on command. Then the upstairs got some great k2 action by the accountant Henry again. He also made some superb banging sounds upstairs when asked with much encouragement and cheering from us.
When everyone had left and we was packing up we had loaded everything into the car and then suddenly we heard dragging sounds up above just as we was locking up and it resulted in a private staff ghost hunt vigil for half an hour. We heard more dragging sounds as well as loud bangs. Stanly palace all in all is a fantastic place. It is not as big as the like of Drakelow Tunnels or Landguard fort, but it sure is very very active and cannot wait to visit this place again!

Ghost Hunting at the Famous Ancient Ram Inn Gloucestershire

January 19th 2013 investigation at the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire. We had high expectations again for this venue, simply because of the last two visits. What with k2 meters going off, light bulb appearing from nowhere, being attacked in the barn and pushed to the floor, and also being grabbed by the head on one visit. As well as light streaks, and taps and door opening and closing and voices being heard.
John Humphries the owner on arrival was as gracious as ever. Armed with a bag of popcorn (whicch is his favorite) he welcomed us in and proceeded to tell us the stories of his encounters with spirit.
John Humphries is 85 years of age and have lived in the ram in for years. There is an incubus and sucubus that resides there as well as many other spirits.
Unravlling the spirits that live there is a mediums nightmare. Sam explains that its very much like peeling layers of an onion through time and trying to piece together the sequence of events throughout the history of the land and building and what spirit goes in what time period and what the place was used for during that given time.
We had our welcome meeting and drinks as per the usual, and then Sam took everyone on the mediumship walkaround. The bar is home to a spirit called Mary Gibbons, a high preistess who conducted dark magic and on past occasions we have heard her voice. This did no disappoint on the January's visit, when sam was calling out in the barn, you hear her say 'hello' and was captured on camcorder. There was another spirit that goes from the barn to the bar called Charles Lancery. He is a priest who in 1290, had a 7 year old illigitimate daughter called Rosie and murdered her when rumours started to spread she was his and she all of a sudden 'disappeared'. On the night in the bar a new spirit, another priest called William was felt close by to one of the guests, Sam felt her energy being drained by him and a stool near the entrance of the tunnel in the fireplace moved. It moved whilst someone was sat on it! The door shut on its own when mentioning Mary Gibbons and whether she regretted sacrificing people. Upon checking,John was sat in his living room watching tv and no way he could have gone up that quick to shut the door and go bac to sit down again.
In the Barn it was very very cold, glass work went very well, and one of the guests wanted a personal experience and because of the violent activity in the past, he wanted something to happen to him and he froze solid for a while unable to move. Be careful what you ask for in this place as you just might get it! The Witches room had some good k2 action going off and light anomalies captured on camcorder. Also a disembodied breath heard which was female between a guest and Sams ear. In the Bishops room we had good activity also. the light intensity meter picking up on a shadow on the third bed nearest the window. The toilet light turning itself on, the door rattling and also the wardrobe door rattling when it was locked. The Attic there was some strange bangs heard that sounded far away and when asked if it could do that again it did on several occasions. The Ouija board there was a little boy called Thomas who played with Rosie and was the same age. (Thomas and another girl called Cassie come from the pagan buriel ground before Rosies death in 1290). We did not have activity from Charles Lancery and Tom the Innkeeper this time, but had a cracking night again, despite the snow outside.

Harwich Redoubt Fort Ghost Hunt in Essex

Harwich first visit by us was on Friday the 13th of April 2012. We got in contact with a spirit called Pete who was a home guard there. He was fantastic with the table tipping and glass divination. Then at Midnight, Andy sensed it was shift change time and at that point there was footsteps on the stairs, orbs seen on camera and a disembodied breath. After this time Pete the spirit never came again. We ended up going into the Moat (which by the way does not no longer have water in) and called out and the k2 meters flashed to red. The ladies in the group all of a sudden felt stomach pains. Then white mists were seen.
The second visit we went on October 13th 2012. In the presentation room I sensed a male monk who was slaughtered during the dissolution of the monesteries and was confirmed that there was indeed a monestery there prior. Also in that room was a man who would not make his aquaintance with me, but he would readily touch the ladies legs including my own and we could all smelt pipe smoke. Every vigil I took which there was 3 groups during the evening, they could all smell the pipe smoke. In the dormitories beds next door, there was tapping sounds and dowsing rods confirmed a murderer in the vacinity. In the cells right at the very back room (near the moat), waynes vigil with the ouija board had some strange effects. the ladies were feeling stomah pains again, just like the first ghost hunt. Then after this point in the equipment vigil, the k2 meters were going off again by the spirit of a 13 year old girl who was pregnant and slaughtered for 'evil' and just left to rot where the north side of the moat was. We also heard in the moat tapping noises, as well as the shadow meter picking up a spirit holding someones hand. At the very end of the night, i was incontact with someone i sensed in the moat who visited a gentleman called frank who was imprisioned in the cells and that Frank was a bit of a bruiser. Franks was clearly not willing to share information like his girlfriend, as his sighs were heard in the moat with the supersound hearing enhancers. At the end, Andy said well Frank, can you do something spectacular and we will leave then. At that given moment, a light ball around the size of a football came flying across our heads about 30 meters high and it had a golden trail to it. It left everyone dumbfounded. I do truely believe that Harwich Redoubt Fort is haunted, and we are visiting there again on March 2nd 2013 and also September the 14th 2013 and look forward to seeing what we can get this time. http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk to book tickets

Trip to the Feathers Hotel January 2013

Prestige Paranormal was at the feathers hotel on the 12th of January. The feathers is based in Shropshire uk and the timer framed building has lots of character. We started off in the prince charles suite for dinner which was done by michelin chefs, and they way they did a roast beef dinner was amazing. The Prince Charles room was a big banqueting hall. perfect for weddings and also hen party ghost hunts and party ghost hunts. We had complimentary coffee and tea supplied by the hotel and there is a bar where they served drinks. Dont worry, we only had the one!
Then its vigil time in the Writing Room. We did mediumship vigil with dowsing rods and also pendulums and we had a female spirit who was a prostitute as well as a soldier from the civil war.  We had a hand held sceance in this room and the chair moved on it own, as well as strange growls.
Then we headed off to the prince william suite where we had a table tipping session which went really well by a spirit called sarah. the guests - the girls through it was the boys and the boys thought it was the girls pushing the table, but when they came off and had a same sex only table tipping session, it worked on both occasions. Then they thought it was our medium - the sceptics! so sam came off the table and it tipped several times so none of us, guests or staff was puposely moving the tables.
The glass also moved by sarah as well as the ouija board. it confirmed that she was murdered, not at the hotel but nearby and it wa a close family member in the 1800's
In Room 211, the room felt pleasent and nice but when we had one guest laying on the bed the k2's went off.
In the writing room and also james room the k2s did go off as well. We did debunk the k2s in the writing room, the storage wall heater had a high emf, but the james room we didnt.
All in all it was a great night, great for a party ghost hunt or first time ghost hunter.

Ghost Hunts at Whittington Castle Shropshire

Prestige Paranormal team visited Whittington Castle in Shropshire in April 2012. Whittington castle has a lovely tea shop which we used as a base room for all our gear. On the walkaround Sam our medium sensed there was a gatekeeper called francis in the oval room. The oval room houses interesting books and in the ground, a pit which is covered by glass. When approaching upstairs in a large room which is situated just before the costume room, she also sensed a lady called mathilda which went back to when it eventually became a house and she was arund i the 1700's. In the gatehouse, she sensed a young boy who was punished by the lady who childminded him and locked him away. In the guards room, the atmosphere was very spooky indeed.
The first part of the night was spent on the ouija board in the oval room. We did indeed get Francis the gatekeeper and he was responsible for sending light anomalies which we could all see and also one of the guests got blown in the ear on command. Then in the long room we did a table tipping session and Mathilda went crazy with the table, levitating it about an inch off the floor and sending the table from one end of the room to the next and twisting it arounnd, she broke our table!
We then proceeded to the gatehouse and the little boy set off the k2's. He made it clear he was not keen on one guest as she resembled the person that looked after him and everytime she said her name, he was make he k2's flash to red. We explained to him that she ws not the person in question and she meant him not harm.
We then went to the Guard room. The light intensity meter was used here, and the boy was creating a shadow infront of the guest that he first initially didnt take to. She then sked him to move to another lady on the other side of the room. The meter went to zero, and when we moved the meter to the other lady, it gave exactly the same reading out and the same intensity of the shadow.
Then it was lone vigil time and again in the gatehouse, the k2's went off and we heard tapping.. In the upper two rooms on the third floor, Sam sensed a lady that was up there that seem rather troubled, and possibly the boys mother wearing green. The upper floors are very uneven, and you can get a strange floating sensation when you walk over them.
It was a fantastic night and we cannot wait to go again to Whittington Castle, its staff are so friendly and welcoming and the spirits were really wanting to come out and play. So on February 2nd 2013 we are there again to see what we can get this time.
