Montgomery Town Hall Wales/Shropshire border ghost hunt march 28th 2015

Night- Rain with a bit of wind
The location is situated in a town full of old buildings, a castle and a haunted graveyard. We investigated Montgomery Town Hall. The town hall is on two levels. The lower floor is where we held the Victoriana vigil. The Kitchen is where we had the ouija and we had got in contact with a man called Cecil although throughout the night the mediums kept wanting to say Cedric. Sam had picked up on the man a couple of days prior to the visit and she sensed he played the Banjo and entertained there. The ouija said he was born in 1923 and died in 1969. A man called Edward Barnam was also coming through. In the main lower floor we did table tipping and glass work. The glass and table did not go but the glass did go when returning back to the kitchen by the banjo player. Sam and a guest went to one of the corners of the lower floor room as she was picking up on a Londoner called Jeremiah who was passing by and addressed her by saying ''alright treacle''.She picked up on that he was involved with trade and commerce and was a coal merchant and Montgomery was one of his trade routes. There was a significant temperature drop and would tap on the fire exit door on command and would stay quiet when they was both talking. Sam went outside to check to see if anyone was banging on the door from the outside, but no-one was about.During the first break Sam was outside the front door and she saw a shadow walking from right to left in front of the cafe just down the road. One of the town hall workers said that was the way to the graveyard where a man called Robert Parker who was associated with John Davies who moved into the area from Wrexham in 1821 where he had earn't a living as a Plasterer. John Davies started working locally for a Widow known as Mrs Morris and her daughter Jane on their run down farm in the area. Thanks to John Davies’s hard work and dedication he managed to turn the farm around so that it was making a profit once more. This did not sit well with a local man named Thomas Pearce who had hoped to purchase the farm at a knock down price as it had been making a loss
To make matters worse Jane Morris had fallen for John Davies due in part to his hard work in turning the family’s fortunes around, the problem was that she was engaged to a local man named Robert Parker. This resulted in Parker and Pearce plotting to get rid of John Davies so they could both pursue their seperate agendas.  Parker and Pearce committed a violent robbery and left evidence at the scene of the crime that implicated Davies, this resulted in him being arrested and charged with the crime which carried the death penalty.
At the place of his execution, persons claimed to have heard John Davies declare his innocence and pray that God would not allow the grass to grow on his grave for a hundred years as a sign of his innocence.
He was buried in a portion of the churchyard where there had been no previous burials. It is said that no sooner was the noose placed around Davies’s head that a great storm took place and above the noise of the rolling thunder he was heard to say,”If I am innocent, the grass, for one generation at least will not cover my grave”. As the trapdoor was about to open he cursed the two men who had set him up and called upon them to appear before God to account for their crimes. It is also said that one died soon afterwards in a blasting accident and the other died from a wasting disease. As Davies had stated no grass grew on his grave for over 100 years and even to this day the grass is still patchy around his grave site.
It was upstairs where we had the spirit of Cedric/Cecil and Robert during the vigil. Robert is known not to like women, which doesn't come to a surprise since his fiancee fell in love with another man. He kept saying on the ovilus to 'leave' and 'be gone'. A shadow was detected twice by the shadow meter in front of one of the ladies with a different reading indicating two spirits. The motion sensor also kept going off on the first half of the vigil. The chair was also pulled whilst team leader Andy was sat on it. We also heard foorsteps.
During the break Sam and Rachel went upstairs to prepare the mediumship vigil and as it was going to be on the stage, Sam recited a song '' leaning on the lampost'' and the curtains started to moved. 'Is this you Cedric?'' Loud tap on the window. Sam and Rachel checked the window out and it only seemed to make the same noise when from pushed from the inside and not from the outside, ruling out wind. During the vigil Cedric was making one tap for yes and two for no and one of the things he liked was Ale. People was also sensing something in the bar area so Andy and another guest got behind the bar whilst the others was on the stage. Andy then got a breath in his face which smelt of ale.
The SB-7 came up with the words ''Hi' and ''David''.
Montgomery Town Hall was very surprising. It has this feel to it, like there the spirits are there are excited you are coming and you feel this in the air and it proved to be a very interesting night. We cant wait to go back on September 5th :) http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk

Drakelow Tunnels Ghost Hunt Worcestershire Friday 13th March 2015

Drakelow has been visited by us numerous times and we look forward to it every time we go. The sheer size of the place is a great playground for ghost hunting. 3 miles of underground tunnels and rooms.
Drakelow Tunnels was a shadow factory  during world war two and a shadow factory was an underground factory making plane parts for rover planes for the war effort. Drakelow tunnels was also used as a communications base during the cold war.
Tonight it was a mild night for march, although a little misty.

Two teams- Group 1 and Group 2.
Format of the night:
Vigil 1 Group 1 - Mediumship in canteen and tunnel 4 Group 2 equipment vigil in restricted area
Vigil 2 Group 2 Victoriana in Surgery and womens dorms Group 1 equipment vigil in restricted area
Vigil 3 Group 2 Mediumship in canteen and tunnel 4 Group 1 Victoriana in restricted area.
Vigil 1:  We had a few taps during the vigil by a spirit of a man called Sam. Previous investigations had Sam speak on the Sb-7 spirit box, a box that produces white noise.  Sam had mentioned ''prison'' 47 when he died and murder. He confirmed he was involved in the Lancaster bombers. A man named Dave also came through on a previous investigation on the sb-7 in the surgery confirming he murdered Sam. But more on that later. On this night, Sam had touched some of the guests and spooked a group of ladies. To get a better view of what was going on around us, we all stood with our backs against the wall. Sam stood right in front of the medium and people could make out his silhouette. Our medium also called Sam asked him to move across so others could see him and they did. Later, we went to tunnel 4 where a man called Charles walks up and down. We played the Air raid siren, and we heard Charles footsteps and this light appeared at the end of tunnel 4. Group 2 is accounted for in the restricted area so we was shocked to see this. At the end of the vigil we was just going through the hole in the wall when we hear a drop of something heavy in tunnel 4. It was a plastic cog that belonged to a piece of machinery about 4 inches in diameter. Sam our medium throws the cog down the tunnel asking Charles to throw it. And he did. Group 2 had the spirit of Danny in the restricted area and he set off the shadow meter.Motion sensors also went off on command,
Vigil 2: In the equipment vigil group 1 had the ovilus, and electronic voice box which spirit uses to communicate, and when asking if the spirit could prove that he could see in this time of 2015, it said ''Raining'' and ''umbrella''. one of the party had to leave early due to other commitments and sure enough, outside was no longer misty, but raining. This was by the spirit of a girl called ''Emily' and she came from before the tunnels were built and was with her father. Emily produced a light on the wall and the light almost formed into a full on apparition. With group 2 the Ouija had a lot of personal messages coming through. The table tipping session with first half of group 2 had taps and spirit lights and a moan was heard, but on investigation we could not debunk. The second half of group 2 was amazing. Dave the murderer came through. He said he meant to hurt, but not kill Sam and that it was an accident, but didn't regret what he did as Sam owed him money. He would shunt the table from side to side and almost had it levitating. It did feel like at one point it was gliding on a cushion of air, wheres before it was hard to moved and seemed routed to the ground. Sam did drum her fingers on the table, asking to copy her. 2 mins later he did just that.
Vigil 3: Group 2 was in the canteen this time. After the dowsing, we saw a light against the dining room wall and canteen wall. This has happened before. We did do a hand held seance and saw shadows in the centre of the group and Sam also saw a mans face between Martyn our staff member and another lady called Donna. '' It was ectoplasmic'' said Sam. Sam is a medium who had learned over five years at open circle for 2 years and closed circle for a further 3. Sam get the images mentally usually and a sense of where the energy is standing, but since October 2014,she has been seeing ectoplasmic shapes and mists physically via the eyes, but never a face, so this came to a shock to her. Sam sensed it was a man who was not an officer, but a night watchman. In the time office we heard one footstep by Charles. On the victoriana with Group 1 they had family on the ouija, no table tipping but ball pellets (from when they do paint ball shooting in the day) being thrown at them.
Group vigil at the end RAF area: We had a hand held seance and Danny and a spirit called Derek both Raf personel came into the group. they touched the ladies and the spirit of George, another RAF serviceman made a footstep. A guest also did the Attention, about turn etc and that did help, and we also mentioned it was a memorial day for soldiers in Afghanistan and for living and dead to give respect to the fallen.
All in all it was a great night. Great for lights, great for poltergeist activity, shadows, and almost appearing full on apparitions. We cannot wait to go back here again on August 1st 2015 and hopefully get some more on Sam, Dave, Charles and Emily and Danny. for more information visit http://www.prestigeparanormalevents.co.uk

Newsham Park The Sleepover Ghost Hunt

Newsham Park
Saturday 28th of December
Dry with the odd drizzle of shower.
First ever we held a sleeping over event here, our 3rd visit in total.
Areas: Sam Nurses Wing and accomodation Mediumship vigil
Andy Equipment vigil in the school
Martyn and Gemma: Morgue/Chapel and body box room/Seminar room Victoriana vigil.
Group vigil : conservatory (cinema room)
Sleepover area : Ground floor Ward

Gemmas and Martyns vigils were very much of a hit and miss. Some vigils were fantastic, some were quiet and taking a while for the energy to build up. Martyn had on the ouija a family of 7 killed by the plague who were buried underneath Newsham. Gemma had some fantastic body box tipping, spining around 360 degrees very fast, when it tipped right over onto its side. They asked for spirit who was in th body box, and also the porters who pushed it. One time, the body box pinned itself up against one of the female guests up at the wall. The seminar room had slight glass work, and a chair did move on its own.
Andys Vigils in the school proved interesting. Jarod the naughty boy came through on the second vigil and spoke on the sb-7 spirit box and made the k2s flash and the shadow meter picked his shadow up in 3 separate locations. First vigil the k2 meters were playing hide and seek. The noise would eminate in one room, they would folow, k2 in hand and they would go off. Third vigil has k2s flashing and scratching at the door to the fire exit on the second floor on command.
Sam vigils were also good. After dowsing with pendulums and rods over 3 floors, the guests would report back to sam what they got and if any activity occurred. Then they all got dressed up in nurses aprons for the singapore experiment, and conduct a calling out séance in the active areas. First vigil it was the first balcony, with tapping going on above. (we did check on vigil 3 for windows, there was one open, but when shut the noise continued elsewhere) There was also footsteps coming from the stairs and a stone thown too. The spirit causing this was an edwardian man from the school, smartly dresssed with a magnum pi moustache and he dissaplined the kids in the orphanage. There was a female on the dowsing called Enid and also Lauren, two nurses. Sam picked up on Wendy, a nurses that committed suicide, and when speaking of the man who broke her heart, there was a bang on the first floor toilet cubicles. 2 Guests also felt sick on the stairs and some people were being touched. We then proceeded to an upstairs large room, and although we had the odd tap, it was much better on the balcony. Vigil Two was also good. Again stone throwing, tapping above and the above room on the top floor, virtually everyone got touched, another guest felt ill, and sam and a guest next to her felt a tight chest.Charlie a 7 yr old girl who goes round the whole school playing hide and seek, lifted some of the guests arms again. There was also a man called James in th 1940s, leaning up at the doorwat smoking a cigar, and it did go very dark in that doorway too. Dowsing had an Isabell nurse that didnt want us there. Vigil Three, had Dowsing from a 19 year old spirit called Eric. The edwardian man came right onto the balcony and one guest calling out got footsteps in the centre of the group. Stone throw twice as well. On the top floor, we did have a female whine, as well as one of the guests at the doorway being pushed backwards.
During lone vigil time, Sam went to the school with Gemma, and on the top floor some guests came out saying it was active on the top right floor with the glass partitioned room which looked like some kind of pidgeon holes in, they heard banging and scraping. In the ground floor, a team helpers ovilus 3 had k2s going off and it said about a soldier, and also a demon there. (previous reports of demonic forces there concur with a separate issue going back in julys visit, and also octobers)
During the group séance in the conservatory, people saw lights and shadows behind sam. A Table rattled when we asked if it wanted us to stay a couple of times. Foosteps were heard once, as well as a couple of thuds.
Sleeping time, we all wrapped up in our duvets, and stayed in the beds. Empty beds were being pulled about, and Sam and Gemma heard a womans voice in the corridor asking' are you alright' . Everyone was accounted for all in one room, and non sleeping guests had gone home. It was like a replay of time from nurses going round patients. We woke up with double shots of coffee and we left at 9am, ready for the journey home.

Again another good night. No apparition like vigil 2 on the octobers visit in the school, however, it was pretty active again and look forward to our next visit here.

Coalhouse fort ghost hunt Saturday 22nd of june 2013

Coalhouse Fort Prestige Paranormal's first visit to this amazing haunted location.

Date: Saturday June 22nd 2013

Night: Slight wind, Full moon and cloudy, reasonably warm evening.

Team Members Sam the medium and Gemma.

We found Coalhouse Fort very easy to get to. Despite us being in Nottingham, all it took was a trip on the m1, m25, a13, then a short road down ad we were there.

Upon arrival, Gemma exclaimed, 'wow this is a big venue' and Sam replied 'Yes, sure is'.

We was greeted by the friendly staff that was there and Jamie who worked at Coalhouse Fort, kindly showed us around on our first visit.

After this, we set up the equipment and food for the guests, and on starting the mediumship tour, we first took a detour to the roof of the building which has stunning views of the full moon, shining on the waters of Tilbury.

Jamie explained that Coalhouse fort was used for part of the movie Batman Returns, and one of the archway rooms on the upper level was used for the prison and the path leading up to the upper level was used as one of the fighting scenes.

Mini vigil with Sam Gemma and Jamie in room 8 before the ghost hunt started. Footsteps were heard, and on the sb-7 spirit box, we heard a 'hi'. Sam also said she sometimes gets songs in her head as messages and had the dance tune from the late 1990's ' there's a bullet in the gun'.

The spirits that Sam had picked up on during mediumship walk around with the guests..

Room in quad above the archway front doors: Captain James Swift

Caponierre: Lady called Bridget, and a shadowy figure like a shapeshifter.

Tunnels in Section between rooms 24 and 18- Two boys about 17 years of age with flat caps on who like to blag their way through life for food and clothing and would tug on your coats.

Room 14: A priest, catholic.

Room 8 and the tunnel outside it: An elemental. Not an Earth elemental like a gnome like figure, but female looking with wispy shimmering trails emanating from the back of her, and very small. Definitely not a girl, it was too skinny looking and too small a head but about 3 ft in height and most certainly was not a fairy either as it had no wings. (Since checking when we got home, with the appearance of the elemental Sam was sensing, we believe for it to be a Water Elemental, an Undine)

The water spirits are called Undines. This name was first used by Swiss meta physician Paracelsus in the early 16th century. They closely resemble humans in appearance and size, except for those inhabiting smaller streams and ponds. They are beautiful, emotional, and graceful Nature Spirits who dress themselves in greenish, sea coloured garb that has both a shimmering consistency and a watery texture.

Walkway leading up to the tea room – 'Sully' a world war two gentleman and his home roots are in Lincolnshire.

Vigil One- The Room in the quad above the archway entrance and caponierre (latrines). We held the mediumship vigil here, and with the dowsing rods and pendulums in the room above the archway, we had a gentleman and a female from world war two. We then had a hand held séance, and we heard banging in the room next door when we asked. We asked it to do two taps and it did, one tap and it did. When we was talking, just general chit chat, the bangs and taps would stop. It could have been the wind that was banging against the window frame next door, but was very co-incidental wind. In the latrines the atmosphere changed during the hand held séance and became very unpleasant. Although it was very dark, there was some little light coming through one of the windows from the moon, and people could see shadows in the centre of the circle and also behind the medium Sam. Sam and the lady to the right of her, Wendy, felt a slight breeze against the back of their hands coming from outside the circle, then against their faces coming from the opposite direction inside the circle. Another lady, Angela, got touched on the top of her head.

Vigil Two – The archway room on the upper floor which used to have prison bars in, and room 18 and 24. We held the victoriana séance here, and in the first room on the upper floor, we had information coming through the automatic handwriting, and came out with a male spirit from 1847 and first three letters was 'Nel' and he was a gentleman who worked on the locks and docks on the waters nearby, before Coalhouse was built. There was a female spirit beginning with 'He' from 1836 and could not get any more from this. We then did table tipping in the same room, and we had the table vibrate, and although it did not tip, we did have a knock in the middle of the table. The 'Nel' character said we should go down to room 18 in the tunnels. We was not planning to do this room, and was going to room 24 next, but thought we should stop enroute and see what happens. Sam sensed in room 18 the two 17 year old vagabond boys. We did the automatic handwriting again, and because there was no table in this room, we used our portable table and Sam crouched down to hold the legs in place, as when the pen would move, it would slightly rock the table. As she did this the planchette which holds the pen started to spin around and around and the guests had to walk around the crouched Sam and the table, much to the amusement to the other guests.

We then eventually went to room 24. As there was no table in here, there were chairs, so thought we would sit for 10 mins and just simply call out. Sam sensed the 'Sully' character from outside, and when she called out his name, there was a scuffling noises emanating from the corner of the room. This corner had a hole which you can bend to get into which leads into a chamber. One of the Coalhouse staff members went to check and there was no-one there. We also heard footsteps outside as well as more scuffling in the chamber next door.

Vigil Three- Equipment vigil. Room 8 and 14. We set up the k2 meters and in room 8 we did not get much, but when placing the k2s in the centre of the room and one by the doorway, one guest, Pauline, said she had seen the k2 meter move by the doorway on its own. Also in room 8 we heard a moan and when the Coalhouse fort staff had checked the fort and its perimeter, there was no-one around. We all stood around the k2 meters and took out the shadow meter, to try and see if the spirit could produce a shadow. Then there was an almighty scream from Helen, another guest, and something had touched her arm. When everyone had sat back down to the edges of the room again, Helen was again touched on the leg. In Room 14 we sat down with the k2 meters, but this room was quiet.

Lone Vigils – Sam had taken Des and Wendy, two of the guests, to the latrines. We was accompanied by one of Coalhouses staff and enroute, we stopped in front of the quad. The staff member, (sorry lovely chap, but could not remember his name) asked Sam what she sensed in the quad area. Sam had the words 'cheap prostitute' come first. Then she said she was not from outside, like a worker from the streets, she worked in the building and was on the top left hand balcony. (As you look at the railings at the top, it bends on the corner and it was on the left hand side of that bend, about 3 ft from the corner) She then had the words 'drugs' and felt like opium or something like that was used. Also the words 'depression' came to mind. She then saw the lady falling backwards over the balcony and with her feet flipping over her head in the fall just the once, she landed face down. It was confirmed there and then by the staff member that a lady, a nurse was married to a soldier, had an affair with another soldier and the married man found out and shot her in the head, causing her to fall backwards over the balcony and land on her front, as Sam had seen.

Could this have been related to the song 'bullet in the gun' that Sam had earlier?

We then went to the latrines and the staff member then told us there is a spirit called Harry who does not like soldiers, or anyone who dresses up as a soldier. Perhaps this could be the spurned husband? Des aka 'braveheart' as we named him afterwards, said his name was 'Private Wood of the queens regiment' and then was followed immediately afterwards with a big tap in the furthest corner of the latrines. We then turned the sb-7 spirit box on and it said the name ' Harry'.

Group vigil at the end- We finally held the last vigil in room 24 and the latrines, but everything had quietened down by then and no more activity was recorded.

On one of the breaks, Jamie at Coalhouse Fort confirmed a documented elemental in 2006, and there was indeed a man called Captain Edgar James Swift in the Essex area of the time of the war.

All in all it was a very good night at Coalhouse Fort. It was very good for personal experiences, and we did get a bit of equipment going off and was impressed with the sb-7 saying the name 'Harry' when there was a spirit called Harry in the same room. We liked the layout of Coalhouse fort too, with upper and lower floors and the quad, making it very easy to separate large groups into 3 smaller groups. The staff are very welcoming and we was very glad to have them accompanying us on the vigils, so when things did kick off, they could go and check to see if it was anything natural and could verify if it was paranormal.

Looking forward to the next time we go, which will be October 19th 2013.

Ancient Ram Inn Ghost Hunt Report June 1st 2013

Ancient Ram Inn Ghost Hunt Report

Saturday 1st of June 2013

Night Clear and Starry

Temp 8 degrees centigrade

Group 3 in the bar

9pm-3.30am

Was greeted by the lovely John again, bought him a glazed donut this time and he settled down with that and nice cup of tea. The guests arrived and we held the welcome meeting in the bar. On the mediumship walkaround Sam kept the barn secret to the spirits that was in there. She had been there enough times to know who was in the barn so the guests could find out themselves later by dowsing and pendulum work. In the witches room, Sam picked up on Mary Gibbons the high priestess and also Charles Lancery the preist who killed his illigitmate daughter Rosie, aged 7. In the Bishops room Sam picked up Skuse the highwayman. In the Bar she got a man called Adam from Exmoor who was trading parts for ships and lodged here during the 1700's and also Tom, the Innkeeper also.

First set of Vigils:

Sam was with group 1 in the barn to start off with. Dowsing rods determined the Charles Lancery in the room as well as Johnathan the blacksmith. On the hand held séance we had some taps, some louder than others and people felt energy around them. They later moved onto the witches room and Sam picked up on a David, who was impaled in the left shoulder by a metal spike object. He was working with cattle (cows only) and someone came in to rob something, and he died of his injury.

It was very quiet during this vigil, apart from the tap or two in the barn.

Gary with Group two in the bar and barn later on. Unfortunately the ouija did not go successful as we would like. We think the big ouija board has too much friction and the surface isnt right so it doesnt slide across very well. It did move bit by bit but not enough to get a message.

Pete with Group three in the attic and bishops room. There was some k2 action, but it proved to be random, not enough to start off a yes no conversation and the sb-7 spirit box had the odd blip but not long enough to make out a word.

So the first set of vigils turned out to be very quiet.

Second set of Vigils:

Sam was with group three in the barn and witches room. We did get some good taps and one of the guests was mediumistic and there was a female and through dowsing we discovered her name began with a P and with guess work it went to yes for Polly. Polly is a 17 year old Prostitute and the guest said she felt very sad and died of some sexual disease. Skuse the highwayman was also in the barn and we did yes no answers by touching us which he did. On the entering of the witches room, Sams torch started to flicker. So she set it on the table and sat down. The guest who was a medium picked up on a 9-10 year old girl from victorian period. So we asked her to take the energy from the torch so she did make it flicker a few times. We wanted more, so we asked her to turn it off completely. She did just that. Then we asked her to turn it back on and she did. Sam and a guest saw a shadow whizz past to the left of them as they were sat on the bed. There was also a female whine as well which we think was mary.

Gary was with group One in the bar and barn. The ouija board was moving and on the table tipping session in the barn, that tilted to a gentleman who was skeptical, which is good because that means if it was humans doing it, he's the only one that could have done it as it was tipping towards him and not away, and since he's skeptic he would try to disprove it anyway he can.

Pete with group two in the attic and Bishops room. We had some crazy k2 action going on and was answering to questions also.

Third set of vigils:

Sams was with group 2 and we had some good activity. The dowsing had charles again and there was some good taps. The torch was flickering again but this time in the barn. We asked for it to turn itself off which it did and back on again, which it did. Strange because this didnt happen inbetween during break times and we checked the torch afterwards and it did not do it during lone vigil times either. In the witches room one of the guests had a camcorder. We put sams torch as a trigger object in the middle of the room on the patterned carpet and set it in the middle of one of the diamond patterns. One of the ends moved a bit. There was lots of light anomalies captured in the witches room and when asked it would move to the person we wanted it to. It even danced around the chap that was camcordering.

Garys group 3 got the polly on the ouija board in the bar. And Petes group 1 had a permanent emf spike to orange all the way in the attic, they moved all over and it was always there. Phones were off so we have no idea what caused that. At this point some of group 1 left as they had to get home. Then the activity really kicked in. the sb-7 box said a name of jason.

Lone vigil times:

Sam had gone with some of the guests in the witches room. James from group 2, group 3 (nics group) and hannah and annie from group 1 was with the k2s. They told me about jason and then jason set off the temperature k2 and took it to its highest level. Then dropped it again. He did this several times on command and they also got a cat on evp meowing too.

Sam then went downstairs to help pack up some of the stuff and then heard a shriek in the barn. She raced in and Sharon from group 2 and Karl and Alison's group in group 2 said they saw a shadow in the barn on the right wall (as you look at it with the doorway in front) Then they did the automatic handwriting and it kept spelling out Karls name and a 'B' which they think is their grandfather. We asked on the automatic handwriting and the 'B' said it was not responsible for the shadow. Then there was taps and what sounded like a dragging noise also. It was very spooky.

So all in all, the night was quiet to start off with, then built up during the evening and got very very active at the end of the night.

Ghost Hunt report at Doncaster Air Museum

Doncaster Air Museum Detailed Ghost Hunt Event Report.

Date Saturday 18th of May

Weather Cloudy no rain

8.30pm-3.00am

It was Sam the mediums first time to Doncaster Air Museum, and excited to go. The last place she visited to do with military museums was Raf Holmpton, which unfortunately was quiet and she did not have high expectations of Doncaster, but how wrong was she!. The moment Sam arrived she was bombarded by spirits.

After set up Sam and the guests went on a mediumship walkaround tour and first up was the main hanger. Sam sensed a spirit of a Sargeant and his name was Spencer Otty who had not one plane crash but two. First one being at Ashbourne Derbyshire and she saw train tracks. The second he died in lancaster bomber 6 months later at a place beginning with 'Ep'. She saw a plane befoe arriving to the museum which was grey, had three white numbers, one of them being a 7 and she found the plane she wanted. When she got to the plane there is a spirit she picked up on called Charles Goodwin and although this was not his exact plane, he comes to visit this one on occasions.

The also picked up on a spirit called Seargant Beaumont, Austrailian and he was killed in a Wellington. In Hanger 21 She picked up on a little girl called Tina, looking for in the blitz rubble a little toy monkey and also a female wren called Wendy. In Hanger 19 there was two spirits. George who was not very pleasant and also a man smoking a cigarette called John Russo who was Canadian and died in a Canadian Spitfire.

Delegations: Sam Mediumship vigil in hangar 19

Andy Equipment Vigil in Main Hangar

Pete Victoriana Vigil in Hangar 21

Vigil one. Sam had the first group in hangar 19. Group one consisted of the sensitive guests and in the exhibition room we was getting hot and cold spots and being touched. One of the guests picked up on George and his last name was Pearce and worked in communications. Sam sensed Russo in the room and he had taken a shine to Sam and he was pretty close to her. There was a few taps in the next room where the planes were and they proceeded to hold the next part of the vigil in there. Sam was being touched by Russo on the face and one of the other mediums (guest) went into trance and George spoke through her. Pete's group in the victoriana did not have much luck on the ouija board, but did have a lot of luck on the glass. They accertained the spirit was religeous and did not want to speak on the ouija and was against it. Andys group had some great k2 action in the main hangar by a female spirit called Elizabeth who was looking for her sweetheart and she died in 2009.

Vigil Two Sam in the hangar had seargeant Beaumont, the Austrailian who had followed one of the guests from the main hangar and he did something very special. Under questioning a wooden stand with information about a control panel rattled, so we put it in the centre of the circle so that every guest knew no-one was touching it and he rattled it again. She also sensed Wendy was pregnant. In Andys vigil one of the mediums (guest) brought up the name Peterson and he was attached with the UN helicopter and said on the k2s he was in the Falklands war and served with Andys dad also named the distinguished medal he had. He also claimed he was the one responsible for showing up on the camcorder at the ghost hunt in November The gentleman associated with the grey plane which had 791 on, he also came through the k2's. In the victoriana vigil, on the ouija personal messages were coming through.

Vigil three Sam's group heard a couple of taps in the plane room in hangar 19. In the victoriana vigil Pete had a spirit on the ouija board from the air museum. In the equipment vigil they got the man on the 791 plane, he admitted on the k2 he flew it in anger but would not say where, but confirmed it was between 1951-and 1954 and it was Korean war, and tying up what Sam said, it was Charles Goodwin. There was that many spirits on this vigil that Andy got confused who was talking too as there was that many. There was also an Australian on the k2s that came through with a first name of Ralph.

In the Lone vigils Sam went around and came to a group on the ouija and they had someone called William. He died aged 90 and worked at the airport until 1984. In the mass group vigil at the end Elizabeth looking for the sweetheart came on the k2's but still couldnt find her sweetheart and the guests who had her had the name of Robert. Peterson would only speak to the men, and was creating bangs and taps on the other side of the hangar. He eventually set off the k2's at the end as a goodbye.

Checks of information from what was get on the ghost hunt:

http://www.archieraf.co.uk/scs/1646dickson.html Seargent Beaumont: he did indeed die in a Wellington and was Austrailian too. The Ralph on the k2's could be RAAF, the airforce he was with.

http://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co.uk/pages/peakdistrict/peakdistricteb338.htm we found that Seargeant spencer Otty was also correct, he did crash at ashbourne and near train tracks like sam said on the mediumship walkaround and it was also the left side (port side) and he did die 6 months later in a lancaster, but the name of the place he died was wrong. It was not Ep, but El for Elsham Wolds.

On Charles Goodwin we had nothing that came up right away, but on the military records there are two c.l and a c.j. Goodwin, both enlisted in 1951, one was in the Queens own and the other in the Royal educational corps, however we did find a recent obituary of a Charles Goodwin who served in korea and was a keen pilot, but was uncertain if he used his piloting skills in the korean war, and he passed away on april 21st 2013 in las vegas (born kansas) and his memorial was the day before the investigation on may 17th 2013.

On George Pearce, is still uncertain, as well as John Russo the Canadian spitfire pilot and peterson, the quest is still ongoing.

haunted weekend borders tour may 3rd and may 4th 2013 northumberland and scotland

Haunted Weekend Borders Tour Friday 3rd of May and Saturday 4th of May 2013

Location Kielder Castle Northumberland and Jedburgh Jail Scotland.

It was a long drive to Kielder Castle Northumberland, about 3 and a half hours, but boy is it worth it. Its fantastic scenery with the scotch fir trees everywhere and the wildlife is just worth the visit alone, and that’s not even counting the lake and the castle itself. Stopped at Scotch Corner on the A1 for our needed boost of energy – the good old burger king and stocked up on m and s sandwiches for later.

We arrived at the castle at 5pm and we met up with Malte who runs the castle and he is pleasure to meet. He’s very passionate about the wildlife and the fact it is a dark sky zone which means, no street lights so you can stargaze to your hearts content.

We set up the equipment and the food and drinks and had a well earned coffee and our sandwiches. The ghost hunt did not start till 8pm and because Gary our team member had not been before, we showed him around the place.

The guests finally arrived and we held the welcome meeting and got to know a bit more about the guests on the evening. Some were from Manchester, and Cheshire and also up as far as Glasgow.

We split the guests into 3 groups and we designated the rooms for the following vigils:

Sam’s Mediumship vigil – Marie’s Room, Charlotte’s Hobby Room, Television Room

Andy Victoriana Vigil – Auditorium and Attic 2

Petes Equipment Vigil – Attic 1 and Emmas Room.

First was the mediumship walk around with our medium Sam. In Emma's room Sam could smell roses, and told the guests about the Romeo and Juliet book she used to like. The book is on the side of the mantelpiece and although its not a very old book, it has been left for her. One of the guests picked it up and placed it in the middle of the mantelpiece. In the far back room of the attic, Sam sensed Emma and also the Blacksmith, to which the guest decided to call him George. They also felt a cold spot where Sam said he was stood in a particular part of the room. On the way back down, one of the guests collared Sam and told her that they placed the Romeo and Juliet book in the middle and on the way down they checked and it had been placed at the end of the mantelpiece and that it had moved. In charlottes hobby room, Sam got a sense that Charlotte like to do embroidery here and grow plants. She also sensed a man in a waistcoat, a worker there called Michael, and he was a strong character. She sensed him even stronger in the TV room. In Marie’s room, Sam sensed Marie and told the guests what she did prior which was to stoke up the fire. In Attic 2 Sam picked up on the boy Tom and also the grounds keeper that used to abuse boys and when 2 of them grew up, they murdered him in revenge in the courtyard, and he died eventually in Attic 2, where his room was.

Equipment Vigil. Unfortunately we did not get any k2 spikes in any of the vigils, although people did sensed they were being watched.

Victoriana vigil – One of the groups did a table tipping session which culminated into one of the tables legs coming off and flying across the room making everyone scream in that group. Another group witnessed a chairs spindles coming off the back of the chair. The grounds keeper called James came through the board and he said they hung him in the end in the attic 2 and anyone who was stood at the stairs wanted to moved and they felt like they was being watched. Table tipping sessions, all three went very well. The little boy Tom was playing with the automatic handwriting planchette and he took a girls earring out and bent it in the Auditorium.

Mediumship Vigil – The dowsing we had Michael and he said he was in cahoots with the grounds keeper. The psychometry we had on two separate groups 1 and 3 ( we asked them to to talk what they picked up on to each during break times so they wouldn't influence) and they got Clara. Group one got James and he wore a white wig and black bow at the back. Two guest who were a couple also got a lady called Joan. Sam got Michael and said he was about 6 foot with a receding hair line, with hardly any hair. In Marie's room Hugh Percy came through and he was messing about as usual. He is the 3rd Duke of Northumberland and he was touching the guests, prodded Sam in the back, tickling. Michael was also tapping to questions in Marie's room and also the TV room. But Marie's room we had disembodied breathing which scared the life out of group 2 from Glasgow.

On group vigil at the end we heard footsteps and bangs were captured on evp machine when everyone was accounted for downstairs. The evp machine was in Marie's room all night.

Some of the guests left after the ghost hunt, very happy, but wanted to get back to either commitments, or just didn't fancy sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor.

We had 12 guests that decided to sleep over. The Glasgow girls slept with Sam in Marie's Room. The rest decided to stay in base room.

7am arrived and the guests were greeted with coffee, tea, croissants with Jam and pan au chocolate.

Everyone had a great time and we left very pleased that the night went very well and organised.

At 9pm, we left Kielder Castle to head towards Jedburgh town centre. The drive is approx 30 miles, but takes about an hour, as it is a single track road with passing points. It was a gorgeous morning and the sun was shining and with it being May we couldn't help stopping a few times to look at the free roaming sheep and lambs as its lambing season. We arrived at the picturesque Jedburgh and it has a huge derelict abbey which was attacked several times. There is also Mary queen of Scots house which is well worth the visit.

We hung around the centre of the town for a while and stocked up on food for the Jedburgh Jail ghost hunt that night, and got some great fish and chips and word had already got around there was 'ghost hunters' in town, even at the local co-op.

Check in time at the hotel was at 1pm, (we got in early, nice one and thanks to the manager). The hotel used to be Robert Burns the poets house and Sam and Andy had room 6, and Pete and Gary had room 4 and room 5 we was told by the manager was meant to be haunted and he saw an actual ghost there. Tired and weary we fell asleep till tea time, and grabbed a pizza just before the event started.

We was let in at 9pm on the dot and set up the equipment and the guests had the welcome meeting, whilst Sam went on a walk around with the curator to pick up on spirits. The jail comprises of a middle wing, a west wing (Bridewell) and East wing. The west wing housed people that owed money and the more hardcore criminals were in the East and Male prison in the North (the north is under repair).

Sam's vigil took place in the main wing on the top floor. The main wing as glass cabinets and artefacts in there and is not in total darkness, but there is one smaller room up there which is in semi darkness. Sam picked up on the Jailer with a 'Jo' name and we later learned this was Joshua. With the dowsing rods, one of the guests got a gentleman from the 1300's called William and the moment that Sam said his name, one of the guests got touched on the thigh. We had a hand held calling out seance and some of the guests arms went up in the air, caused by William. Sam's vigil later went on to the cells in the Bridewell on the top floor. In one of the cells one of the guests picked up on a spirit called Jack and Sam sensed he was around 5 foot, elfin style face, and was a character and was done for pickpocketing. The guests all saw red and white lights above Sam's head, about 1 foot above. Sam and another guest called Sam was touched on the thigh and ear. There was a child called Jess which was also picked up on by a guest.

During the Victoriana vigil, this was held in the room next to the base room, and also a small room which is next door and this was the Jailers room. In the Jailers room we did the Ouija session and we had Jake(was Jack) on the board and also the Jailer called Joshua. Jake and Joshua never met and when Jake died, Joshua came to work there 4 years afterwards in the 1800's and stayed for 7 years before being murdered by inmates. In the room next to the base room, to which I can only describe it as a 'stocks' room because of the stocks, and the mannequin. We had the spirit of Georgina who lost her children and was looking for them. Sam sensed the children was in spirit world already and it was just a case of her having a leap of faith and joining them.

In the Equipment Vigil we was on the top floor of the East wing and in one room we had excellent k2s by a man called Samuel who was African origin. We then split the group, boys and girls and the ladies went into one of the cells at the bottom end of the corridor. No k2 spikes for the ladies, but the men who stayed in the first cell, had k2s going off again and the spirit wanted the ladies in there. So we did a switch. The ladies went in, and also we had some k2 spikes, for a yes answer he was supposed to spike the k2s and on listing the crimes so he could confirm which one he did, he would not answer, so Sam picked up the k2s and said they are leaving, when one of the guests let out a scream and so did her mum next to her. The guest Vikki said 'I've just had whisper in my ear, Don't go -stay'' and her mum, who was wearing the super hearing enhancers at the time said ' I just heard it plain as day on these things too'.

During a group vigil in the Bridewell West wing, Jess was making the k2 spikes, would run off and hide, make a noise in the cell she was in and the guests would have to find where she was. It proved a very good game.

Finally in the stocks room, Sam and the guests helped Georgina into the light, and afterwards the feelings in there was less oppressive.

We retired back to our hotel at 3.30am and finally left after a good hearty Scottish breakfast at 10.30am.

Prestige's opinion on Kielder Castle and Jedburgh Jail.

Both very different in their own rights. Kielder was well worth the visit because of the scenery and the fact you can sleep in location with your sleeping bag. Its got many rooms to explore and our vigils didn't even cover the two base rooms, and the study and the puzzle room and the nature room.

We do love Hugh Percys personality and came across him twice now and he has made audible's before and his character and jokey nature, just him alone is worth going to see, let alone the other spirits there.

Jedburgh Jail, there’s about 20 cell rooms to visit, so very easy to do lone vigils in. The building when the lights go out it is frightening and sets the scene of death, violence and incarceration very well. Was very impressed with the personal experiences here and the k2s as well as the super hearing enhancers. Would love to revisit here just to add more to the story of the Jailer Joshua and prisoner Jake, plus also work more on the equipment and get some good trigger objects going in some of the cells.
